Favourite - quite enjoyed Basel and London. Not really a city person though. Prefer country towns - cities tend to be very similar, while towns give you a much better insight into a country and its people.
Least favourite - Dublin (yep!); wasn't too impressed by Paris either (apart from the 24-hour pub).
Favourite: Dublin, many of you may hate it, but for me there's no place like home.
Hated: Jesenice in North West Slovenia. A socialist industrial abomination that makes me want to commit suicide just passing through it.
Favourite.....the best city in Ireland and i live here...Galway!!
Least Favourite...Tuam![]()

I agree with Poor Student, I can see why people would hate Dublin, but it's home, so for me there's nothing like it.
At least we have something in common now.Originally Posted by kerr's tribe

Fantastic City flying the flag for the capital of IRELAND, Jealous little siblings like cork and galway try to put it down but it just gets better and better.. also New York, Boston, Nice.
Fav. Cork, Bologna
Hate. London (a week is cool, anything more its a sh!te hole), Glasgow (third world), Dublin (not cos of the Dubs V everyone else thing. Cos its over priced, traffic is a nightmare, its actually well dodgy at night from what i've seen)
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
As over priced as most citys (you have to know where to go for the cheap stuff), we're working on our traffic problem, safe at night as anywhere i have been. Cork is a fantastic city aswell, I wouldnt just say a part of my green isle is a dump fo the sake of it.. For anybody not from here reading this who plans to visit Ireland, come to the capital, dont listen to the green eyed peoples republic of cork.Originally Posted by A face

As you can see i agree with you my friend, all my family on my Dads side are from Cork but Dublin is another cool city, and its not me being biased, I know alot of foreigners who love Dublin, Still find it fascinating though that alot (not all) of Cork folk have such a chip on their shoulder about Dublin, I wont lose sleep over it but its like a little brother being jealous over his big brother when really he should idolise him, Dublin should be your idol CorkOriginally Posted by A face

I forgot about Frankfurt - that is one horrible place and just like Limerick is best seen through the rear view mirror of your car.Originally Posted by kerr's tribe

I really have to disagree with you about Dublin.Although it has lots of good things it really dosen't stand up against alot of cities of a similar size and population.I know lots of foreigners love it but they only visit it on short trips so they rearly see the problems with it.I travel in and out of Dublin quite often for work & social reasons and it's a complete nightmare. The traffic gets worse by the day.The place is turning into one big urban sprawl with no proper planning. The public transport is 3rd world at best.If you live in the burbs the only transport available in the over crowded late Bus that gets fuller and fuller the closer it gets to town. The Dart is a joke. The Luas is in a crash every day.I don't know why they built it overground along already crowded roads.Property is a complete rip off so is the pint.If your with a friend and want to go into a bar in Templebar you get stopped at the door by some d1ckhead bouncer saying "not tonight bud".The city is filthy dirty and there are to many little scummers in the city centre starting sh1t.Originally Posted by M@ttitude
