The only thing sticky about Holycross was their pitch as we won 6-1 and should and could have been more.

The above is probably based on highest league rankings,,,, but maybe you should have based it on points from games played (Star will go top if they win their games in hand) , then it would be Star at home to the Dines in the next round.

Anyway it doesn't matter, we'll just keep plugging away and hopefully get ot of town with a bit of luck.

As soon as I heard your result I could see that coming.

There are some good ties there. Will be tough to call between Star and wembley. Both should take care of the Dines.

Shels have won 4 in a row so should give Corbally a game but winners play Boro so should be a handy trip out of town for them.

Pike have to get over Shannon and Granville, not too easy.

Regional have a handy draw, Park, then Balla, Then Fairview.

Last side of the draw should be a cracker. Carew, if they get over Charleville have a local derby V the Celtic. (8 am kick off in case fans get pi**ed before hand). Herbertstown are having another good year and will really want a hop of aisling. Any one of the 5 could get out of town.

If we play like we did last Sunday (I know it was only Holycross) against Wembley I will have no worries at all.

Munster Junior Cup 2nd Round from www.southtippsoccer.com

    Killusty-v-St. Michael’s at 3.00

    Glengoole United-v-Rock Rovers at 12.00

    Two-Mile-Borris-v-Redmondstown at 3.00

    Gooldscross-v-Clonmel Town at 12.00

    Vee Rovers-v-Galbally United at 11.30

    Cahir Park-v-Rosegreen Rangers at 12.00

Saints against Killusty is a repeat of last seasons Tipp Cup final which Saints won after extra time 2-1 (with the last kick of the game). That said Saints put 6 past Killusty already this season in the league. Killusty play at the foot of Slievenamon and its a difficult place to go and play. They really get themselves up for cup competitions so expect a battle; Saints to edge it though.

Cahir Park are worth watching. They boast some of the best facilities in Junior football and now it seems they have a Junior team to match. They play Rosegreen at home and it should be a really good tie even if they both are first division teams. Don't let that fool you.

    Munster Junior Results:

    Kilmallock 0 2 Corbally
    Caherconlish 0 4 Boro
    Southend 1 7 View
    Park 1 4 Regional
    Bilboa 3 1 Mungret
    Charleville 0 4 Carew

Right, just to put the above into context.

    Fairview hit Southend for 7.
Last week, Southend hit Bilboa for 10 (yes 10)
This week, Bilboa beat Mungret who deserve all that they get for bringing the most arrogant man in football management back to their club. I bet Pat Irwin is laughing his ar*e off

In South Tipp, Saint Michaels and Clonmel Town advance. Carrick Utd put six past Pilltown in Waterford and in North Tipp, Nenagh Celtic win again.

    Kerry Round Up

Only one team from Kerry is to progress to the latter stages of this competition.

Lisselton Rovers who would consider themselves a leading force in Kerry soccer (although others wouldn't), got hammered 5-0 by Killarney Celtic yesterday in what must have been a very one sided game!

Tralee Dynamos play St Brendans Park next week and the winners take on Killarney Celtic in the MJC - Kerry region final

Totally agree with you tralee dynamo about Lisselton NOT being a leading force in Kerry soccer this year although it is a tough one to explain. I mean, they have only lost two players from their starting 11 last year-James Sugrue (gone to Dynamos) and Mousie Regan (quit playing to go refereeing). Sugrue didn't play well at all for them last year (although apparently Lisselton never train so he may have suffered due to that) and they have added Steven O Mahony this year who should be a huge addition to the team. But they just don't seem to be playing well. I think their defense is letting them down hugely this year-conceeding 5 goals was unheard of in the past two years.
Looking forward to the big game next weekend-both sides will be really up for it. We will be looking to knock Dynamos off stride
