Apparently he said something that was a personal insult to SB who then decided Byrne had no possibility of playing under him.
Must have been a bad one, Bradley is from the outside anyhow a pretty honest fella, I’d say you’d really need to push to get him that ****ed off
I heard an absolutely hilarious story that Byrne wasnt in the match day team for an 11 v 11 training game at Rovers. He proceeded to absolutely boot the the ball off the pitch everytime it came to him , until Bradley eventually snapped after the 6th or 7th one. I will never be told that isn't true, its too funny.
I wouldnt have been to keen on Pats signing him, until i heard that.
3 different people who were "in the know" gave me 3 different stories last night.
Whatever it was its a shame tbh and a shocking waste of a good player, also heard we were paying none of his wages and also we were paying all of his wages ........we all love a good gossip.
Nice tribute to Ollie last night, heartfelt applause all aroud the stadium compared to some of the half hearted efforts you see sometimes
Rovers have turned down €625,000 for Josh Honohan from Lincoln according to Dan McDonnell

i can see why tbf a goal in the Conference league could be worth 500k on its own and he wont be worth any less in January, potentially even more if he impresses against the big clubs
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), only Irish club to win a game / points in Europa League Group Stage (2016).
regards development fees there are none for players his age
That's Sean Patton away to Reading now, for an undisclosed fee.

Still think it's a strange move, but fair play to him.
Oisin Cooney has left Harps and joined Burnley under-23's squad. No fee up front but 'significant add-ons' according to local news.

Galwayman Daniel O'Connor has joined Kerry after spells with Mervue, Galway and Ipswich's U21s:

Could’ve always held onto him until November and taken the €245k you that would’ve been due in compensation money rather than holding out for first team appearances as a goalkeeper at a premier league club or a sell on percentage that’s likely to work out at less than €245k anyways

Absolute nonsense the 245k fee. If we get 40k-50k compensation that'll be the height of it. He's a third choice goalkeeper at a First Division side and lost his place in the Ireland underage setup.

The fact that he’s not your first choice keeper, or that he lost his place in the international setup doesn’t have any affect on the compensation so I’m not sure what relevance bringing that up has, but if he’s as crap as you’re making him out to sound then surely taking even 50k would’ve been the better option as he’ll likely be released and Harps would get €0

You can be entitled to 500k in compo but if the buying club says we dont rate the player that highly we will give you X then you can forego the UEFA mandated Compo.
Clubs often do as the alternative is the player doesnt get signed at all and you have a disgruntled player on your hands.
The people running Harps will have done the best by the club im sure
