Enda Curran departs Treaty United
This actually stood out to me against Shels. When he played against us in Tallaght, although he supplied the cross for the equaliser, he was a total liability without the ball. Whatever about not putting in a tackle, at least try and get into a position that the opposition can't just play a simple pass.
He's obviously on a very big wage at Rovers so maybe they'd be happy to move him on if Pat's or Shels are willing to take that up. I suppose it depends on whether Rovers win the league or not. There will be a big hole anticipated in next year's income if they don't. I'd imagine Stephen Bradley would want to keep him though and it could look very foolish if he helps someone else win the league.
I phoned the speaking clock to hear a voice speak, it said - "At the tone you will be very much alone"

Where’s he off too???
I wonder where Daryl Horgan end up next year, watched a bit of him last night and he’ll certainly be a player in demand I think….
Irish by birth ,Harps by the grace of god.
If Higgins hangs on to his job it will be Derry or if Ms Horgan has a veto then Belfast.

Bohs and Sligo are both apparently after Alex Nolan off Pats. He had a few impressive appearances earlier in the year but is a bit lightweight and struggles with consistency and end product. With Mulraney, Elbouzedi, Leavy and Kavanagh all ahead of him in the pecking order on the wings I can see why he probably won’t be at Pats next year. There’s talent there though if whoever he signs for shows the patience (in terms of game time) to unlock it

Bohs need wingers, strikers and fullbacks by my count, so there would be plenty of game time for him. Also need to offload a midfielder or 3 but that's a different point.
Danny Rogers has signed a new 2 year deal at Pats. Happy with that. As solid a backup keeper as there is in the league

As back-up keepers go he's fine. He's kind of an old fashioned type in that he's a steady hand but has no quality of distribution etc about him that a modern day goalkeeper tends to. Doesn't really make big errors but also doesn't pull out saves that would win you a game. Was an improvement on Pitaluga but once Anang settled in you can see the difference in levels between them.
No very poor is a big stretch. One poor error on tv at home to Dundalk probably spread that narrative for fans of other clubs but he did well replacing Pitaluga having not played at all in 2023 due to injury. The one criticism would be that he stays on his line a bit too often when he could come out but as far as backup keepers go that’s not a major criticism compared to some of the absolute donkeys other clubs have. There were actually some fans that thought Rogers harshly lost his place to Anang at the time (I don’t agree with them but you get the picture that he was far from very poor)

Absolutely. Apart from the Dundalk error I can’t think of much else he did wrong. Very solid No 2. I’m a bit surprised he stayed to be honest.
Be sorry to see Alex Nolan go, as he certainly has ability. At the same time though, he’s probably not going to get many minutes if he stays. Be a good signing for Bohs or Sligo I think.
Out for a spell, got neglected, lay on the bench unselected.
Nolan has potential but (barring long-term injury to others) isn't going to get the minutes needed to fulfill that potential at Pats, which is more of a reflection of the outstanding quality of their starting wingers than a reflection of him. These things happen, that's football. Sligo could be a great move for him.
Anto Breslin has signed what has been described as a new long term contract to stay at Pats. Happy with that he is a hard worker and is reliable.
I've been up and down on Breslin at times since he's joined, but he's been brilliant since Kenny has come in to be fair to him, and I think the signing of Kazeem has only seen him raise his levels in response to actually having competition for his place too. Happy to have him stay on given that, plus he seems a real leader in the group as well.
Good to have more continuity in the squad, off the top of my head that's about 15 players still under contract for next season, some beyond. Would expect Melia to be snapped up, Romal Palmer to probably not return, and apparently Jamie Lennon is off to the States finally, but other than that hopefully not many more key players to this team. Have heard more chat in the last few days of Adam O'Reilly and Towell coming in.
Hope it isn't the case with Lennon but he was close to leaving for the States before he signed his last contract and the same talk is going around now. Have only seen it being spoken about online though rather than anything concrete so fingers crossed he stays. O'Reilly would be a good start but still feel we'd need another body or two in midfield on top of that, especially if Palmer presumably doesn't sign permanently. Towell signing would be hilarious given all the grief he and the fans have given one another down the seasons, but agree that it doesn't exactly make all the sense in the world on a footballing level. Might just be giddy Rovers fans that are happy he's off pushing it though![]()
