I think that’s the kind of shooting up we could all get behind
What’s the story with Axel I wonder ? Out of the team the last couple of games when I thought he’d been really terrific since Kenny came in. I think I read somewhere that he’s off, which would be a pity in my view.
Out for a spell, got neglected, lay on the bench unselected.
I remember discussing that one on here last year Waterford on their announcement stated they paid a transfer fee for McCormack when he was actually out of contract at Pats so it actually would have been an Under 23 development fee which was almost certainly small like 10k, no LOI club is going to be paying any substantial fee for a player and then signing them up to a standard one year contract
Waterford's latest announcement on their squad is probably the most detailed update I have seen from a LOI club, probably too detailed a bit odd announcing which players you have offered contract extensions to who are sitting on the offer
The Leinster Senior League needs a strong Bohemians
I think those sort of end-of-season announcements are increasingly common with English clubs, so probably the Fleetwood connection is behind that Waterford post too.
Andy Boyle has confirms he will be leaving Dundalk
Additionally Waterford's "offered contracts" section on their retained list seemed to put the pressure on Darragh Leahy and Ben McCormack to sign them as they've also been announced. Some solid stuff from them albeit nothing too major in terms of potentially launching them up the table as a result.
Will be interesting to see what happens with Darragh Power. Could be wrong but he seemed to have a great season, certainly a strong start anyway, and there could be a few sides around the league with a spot to fill at right back.
Yeah I agree, in recent years he’s looked a shadow of the player he once was. He’s had some proper stinking performances when I’ve watched him. Still a lot of experience there and maybe the change of scenery could see some better performances. At 34 in March though his best days are certainly behind him

Boyle was immense last year for Dundalk. Anybody that watched Dundalk would say the same. Out of all the 'senior' players, he was by far the most constantly good.
I have no idea what Another Bohemia is talking about.
Dundalk players worked their socks off till the last game, hence the crowd stayed behind them. Problem was goals and a dodgy goalkeeper(s). Leadership on the pitch was far from the issue.
Just remember, Dundalk broke their consecutive home clean sheet record this year, and Boyle was a huge part of that.
Great signing for Waterford. Shels, Derry and Bohs (and actually every team in the league) should be kicking themselves frankly.
Wouldn't be surprised if he had another top top season or two in him.
You may have broken your home clean sheet record but you still conceded 50 goals in the season. What does that say about the games that you did concede in? Scoring goals was certainly an issue but your defence was worse than Bohs and we had a terrible defence for a lot of last year. Him being the best senior player in a team of underperforming players, in the worst team in the league isn't much of a compliment either? And if there is a team of underperforming players it's on the management but also the on the pitch leadership which Boyle was part of. He could well turn it around but I won't lose any sleep that he hasn't signed for Bohs.
Bohs confirm the signing of Colm Whelan
Happy with that. Will defo need to invest in a back up with his injury record, but a very good signing to make. I'd also like to see how Ryan Kelleher would do in the premier division. Scored a decent number of goals (including against Bohs) in a relatively weak Kerry team. Could be a reasonably priced back up option .
He was injured/being eased back in after 2 ACL injuries, I wouldn’t hold his goal record against him, specially considering only 2 of those appearances were starts. If he’s shook all the bad luck with injuries he should do well at Bohs. I said it on here at the time a few weeks ago but he was easily Derry’s best player in Inchicore in the second last game of the season after coming on at half time

Only came back from injury in July and had limited minutes(300ish minutes or slightly more than 3 full games) to get him back to fitness when he did come back. Hence my belief we still need another striker as a back up. Injury history is concerning but he had a very good goal record at UCD before he moved to Derry
