    Irish Premier results

    Ards 1-0 Cliftonville
    Arnagh City 1-2 Institute
    Ballymena United 1-0 Larne
    Dungannon Swifts 3-0 Loughgall
    Limavady 3-3 Coleraine
    Linfield 2-1 Glenavon
    Lisburn Distillery 1-4 Glentoran
    Portadown 5-1 Newry City

So all the teams in next years Setanta won on the first day. I saw the highlights of Lisburn-Glentoran. Glentoran were pretty good. Surprisingly imo, Linfield are favourites for the title this season.

The Glens did play well, but from what I heard on the radio Linfield had a bit of a game on their hands, and only really shone in the last five or ten minutes.

BTW, The Blues have always favourites for the league, so I don't listen too much to that. However, this year, the Blues have played very well and have a good strong side; compare that to the Glens record of keeping the league in the past, it is no surprise this year and them being the favourites is fair enough.

Glentoran though have a great team too, a few are off with injuries, but when they get back we will be even better.

Anyway, I think this will be another great IL, very close between the top two or three.

Who will the Irish League team be in the Setanta Cup that wasn't in it this year?

I've discovered the IL as good source of betting. 3 way combo on Portadown/Linfield/Glentoran almost 3/1. I think they good to win all their 3 games 2 out of 3 weeks?

We're not arrogant, we're just better.

Yeah. I would second that. The 6th to 4th places in the IL for sure now and are going to be very competive.
