    Wexford FC v Bray

Lively 0-0 in Ferrycarrig tonight although chances were at a premium with both defences doing well but with the home side perhaps having more of the game. Wexford started with Conor, Darragh, Cian, Kian, Thomas, Dobbsy, Luka, Lewis, Sean, Reece and Conor. Wexford posed a threat early on with Kian Corbally having a shot half-blocked and resulting in an easy save for Jimmy Corcoran in the Bray goal and a poor headed backpass by Bray almost letting Wexford’s Thomas Oluwa in on goal. On seven minutes, a Bray shot on goal squirmed through Conor Walsh’s hands but it fortunately fell to a Wexford defender to clear. On 15 minutes, Dobbsy had a clear sight of the Bray goal with a header from a Luka Lovic cross but it was straight at Corcoran. After Shane Griffin hit a nice volley straight at Conor Walsh, it was Bray who went close on 24 minutes when Walsh did well to grab a low cross/shot by Bray at the second attempt. Another save by Corcoran and a good Bray effort which whistled over the Wexford bar followed before, just before the break, Wexford’s Thomas Oluwa was put through on goal but called for offside. 0-0 at halftime.

Second half continued with an energetic Wexford midfield tending to control the game through Corbally, Levingston, Crowley and Lovic but Wexford’s strongest part of the game – their setpieces – being well defended by the Bray defence. After Mikie Rowe entered the fray as the first Wexford substitute, one of the best although unorthodox chances fell to Thomas Oluwa when he backheaded a long throw by Wexford's Cian O’Malley over the Bray bar from very close in. Corcoran then made an acrobatic save to keep a Luka Lovic shot out. As the game entered its final minutes, Wexford had a stroke of luck when a volley by a Bray attacker from thirty yards out hit the corner of both Wexford’s bar and post but fortunately for the home side bounced out. Further subs by Wexford were Kaylem Harnett and Cian Curtis. Game finished with another low save by Conor Walsh as Bray finished the game on the up. 0-0 at full-time. Crowd was reported to be 695.
