Rovers looked comfortable until doyle inserted himself into the game for no reason. Typical poor quality referee behavior.

Rovers full quality for the 3 points, galway offered nothing skilful but were full of commitment and endeavor which will probably end up being the clinical factors in how the league will be won this season.
Very funny og it has to be said.

I had a feeling once Esua got injured that it would be hard for us to win tonight. Still that wining goal was a disaster.

Comedy own goal but yet again we should have been out of sight by HT.

quite unlikely but if we manage to win next three then Shels is massive. More likely Derry looking for us to do them a big favour!

I thought it was a grim second half. I'm glad none of my non-LOI watching mates saw it.

I was critical of Bradley on X recently and got a bit of abuse from a couple of people. But my feeling is Rovers should have had the league wrapped up much earlier than we did in the last 2 seasons and we play in a flat, predictable way too frequently. We also ship lots of the same goal - lose ball in midfield, two passes later opposition scores. I reckon we've conceded close to 20 of these in the last few seasons. We lose control of games and unless Byrne is at his best we rarely gain space through the middle. It's pass among the 3 CBs and work it wide, all the time. Once it gets wide we get caught up in a congested low block.

But tell me this: how many times in the 3 full winning seasons have we been 2 goals clear at HT? Very few I reckon, and far fewer than you'd expect of the league winners. My feeling is that it has often been 70 mins+ (and often a lot later) before the points were secured.

Last night’s result leaves Fridays game well poised,Rovers win and they’re back in the title race,Derry win and they’d be favourites to win it for me considering Shels form ……

Really depends on shels result in Galway. If Rovers and shels were to win I'd say that's league over in terms of shels winning it, if shels and derry win ,it reinforces the 2 horse race. But if Rovers win and shels draw or lose... Well then, who knows
