    Joe O'Brien-Whitmarsh M Southampton B.2005

Ten Minutes after Romeo Akachukwu came on, Joe O'Brien-Whitmarsh got to step out onto the pitch for a Premier League first team in competition for the first time https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/l...03k0t#Line-ups. So when combined with Andrew Moran's hattrick of assists, Mark O'Mahony's first senior goal for Brighton, Jake O'Brien's first game, assist and clean sheet for Everton, and Rocco Vata's debut for Watford, it amounts to a pretty productive couple of evenings for young Irish players

Was on the bench on Wednesday against Chelsea - probably just as well that he stayed there given the hammering Southampton received: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/l...v7zlt#Line-ups
