Heard Pike hammered Mungret 3-0 yesterday to set up a tie at home with Ballymun.

What do people make of the sixth round draw? What are the chances of all Limerick clubs progressing?

Carew Park should beat Castlebar Celtic. Celtic play a robust long ball game and tackle hard and play a high line, trying to catch opponents offside. Gavin Dykes is smart, but not terribly pacey. Couple of players have suspect temperments and are liable to get sent off. They have a good central midfielder in Steve Ryan, but is liable to flip the lid if provoked. When Celtic take the lead, they kill the game off. Sean McHale is a strong and good striker. Russell Gibbons is very dangerous from set pieces and they hit every long ball to him. There was controversy on a signing of a goalkeeper over the summer. The current keeper is prone to embarrassing mistakes. Declan Reilly should not be available as he was sent off against Sherriff Youth Club. Celtic have a small but very passionate support. Despite Gavin Dyke's comments on The Star last week, there was never 2,000 people in Celtic Park at a game over the last year. The biggest crowd there was dominated by the opposition.

thunderblaster, you might as well be talking about carew there. Carew are a long ball team aswell, every free no matter where on the pitch gets pumped into the penalty box too. They've players that are liable to flip the lid. Carew also have a small but "passionate" support.

thats a tad harsh ! carew can play very attractive football.
they have some nice quality players with a mixture of a few physical ones like most good teams.
thats a bit irish coming from you porn star when you consider that for the last few years pike have done nothing but defend and score breakaway goals !

dont be stupid you know very well carew are a very good footballing team they did not beat the boro 4_0 because they pumped long balls into the box in fairness call a spade a spade here. i will agree they have a couple of players that can lose the plot sometimes ill grant you that. carews two strikers are very strong o connor is top goalscorer in town and he has missed the last month and ger ned is also very dangerous both very strong in the air.

i would say pike has more players sent off this season than carew park aswell carew had two sent off this season as far as i know

    Right,

    Up to date Waterford Table
    Played Points
    Carrick 9 20
    Tramore 9 19
    Crystal 9 17
    Southend 10 17
    Bohs 10 12
    Ferrybank 9 12
    Villa 10 11
    Dungarvan 10 10
    Hibs 9 7
    Johnville 11 5

As you can see, they are a poor team in a poor league (Carrick and crystal are the only 2 decent teams with any real hope of outside honours)

They have scored 13 and let in 16 in the league. They lost their best player (Michael Downey, ex Spurs, to his local Div 2 team this year, that same team knocked out Crystal in FAI). He was there center forward for the last few years and got them to a MJ semi final a few years back but they have very little up front since he has gone. Their top scorer in the league is Kevin Walsh (3 goals) and he plays in the middle where he likes to come and get the ball from his back 4.

They will be sticky, they have given the likes of Carrick and Crystal good games this year but also lost points against both Hibs and Johnville. They are supposed to be tough to break down but certainly have no one player as a danger. On the Waterford Oscar Traynor that won it out last year they had no player in the squad. Their keeper is small and heavy. Good luck.
