    Greatest XI ?

Very quiet here lately so I'll see if I can attract a bit of interest. Who do the Rams fans consider their greatest eleven? I'll put some names down for a squad but I'm sure some will not deserve to be there and people can add to it if they like because I'm sure to leave out plenty of worthy candidates. You can just pick what you consider to be your best 11. There are plenty that I'm a little hazy about so maybe Eddie and the rest of you could help me out when you log on next!

My memory only goes back to circa '83 and I haven't seen a lot of the teams over the last few years so I won't include anyone I haven't seen a lot of.

Off the top of my head:

    GOALKEEPERS

Paul Keating, Alec Ludzic, Mick Devine, Stephen Henderson.

    DEFENDERS

Eddie O' Halloran, Packie Kelly, George Mellerick, Philip Long, Paul Bannon, George Wilshaw, Kenny O' Rourke.

    MIDFIELDERS

John O' Rourke, Paul Crowley, Paddy Shortt, Fergus McDaid, Mark Clifford, Stephen Yelverton.

    FORWARDS

Frank O' Neil, Willie Bruton, Sean Francis, Kieran O' Reilly, Bob O' Donovan

Obviously these are just suggestions so please add to or shoot down any that I've said!!

You would have to put Terry Kearns in there.

    Mine would be

    Alec Ludzic
    Packie Kelly
    Eddie O halloren
    Mick o Keefe
    Jason Lynch
    Roy Keane
    Sean Hegarty
    Mark Clifford
    Tony Neiland
    Terry Kearns
    Willi Bruton

This is a team from more recent times.

Forgot about players like Tony Neiland, Jason Lynch and Terry Kearns. All worthy candidates. Left Roy Keane out of it because he only played 1 season really.

    You would say that!

Good player from what I remember, don't know if he'd make a Greatest XI though. Some of the "older" lads might have a better idea.
