its a record attendence that will never be broken by any other league of ireland club,, never.
WUFC and Waterford FC are NOT the same club, no matter how much deluded blaahs like yourself wish it to be so.
Just like you had 54,000 fans in Landsdown to support Waterford....

Maybe you could organise a collection amongst them all and their descendents now, and save the club that came after the club that played Man Utd.

Impossible for the fact that no football ground in Ireland will ever be able to cope with that capacity bar Croke Park being opened up for a WUFC Champions League game

It was a name change, not a new club. Waterford United says it's the same club, and the FAI says it's the same club, so forgive me if I'm not exactly taking your word as gospel.

    From the rsssf.com website
    Alton United were from Belfast.
Cork Athletic were known as Cork United from 1940-1948 and folded in 1957.
    Cork Hibernians folded in 1976.
    Cork Celtic folded in 1979.
Cork City was founded in 1984.
Waterford was renamed Waterford United in 1982.
Drumcondra merged with Home Farm in 1972 as Home Farm, now Home Farm Everton.
Limerick existed from 1937-1979, then they changed to Limerick United. In 1983 the club was rearranged as Limerick City, in 1992 name change to Limerick FC.
