Have to agree with Rovers here, the Longford stewards and Gardaí provoke opposition supporters unlike any other area in EircomLeagueLand.

I think such a register is the way to go, definitely.

    Why?

Why is the Town never vandalised after games involving the above mentioned clubs ???

You can blame our 'stewards' all you like - the problem is with YOU and YOUR 'SUPPORTERS'
The stewards in Flancare are ignorant *****s. Two incidents last night for you Cop on:

    1. We went behind the goal (as we have done for the last several away games there) and started putting our flags up on the seats. A number of stewards passed by and not a word was said. When we were nearly finished, some other guy came over and told us to take them down, and put them at the far end. He said that we were blocking a "prime viewing area for home fans." I asked why we weren't allowed put them there now, as we had been several times in the past (I haven't missed a City match in Longford in 4 years) and his answer was a sarcastic "maybe you should have asked first."
    2. There was a small group of home fans in the city section (mostly kids admittedly) who were shouting over City fans, and more intent on shouting at us than watching the game. It was no big deal, but it was annoying, so at half time I went to a steward and said "Sorry, but why are there Longford fans being allowed to sit in the city section." His response was "why not?" I pointed out that there should be a designated away fans section, and he replied saying "Do ya think so? Do ya think Longford and Cork fans need to be segregated? We only have segregation for the big games." When I said that this was not the point, but there should be a specific section for away fans, and that it was amateur and unprofessional not to have it organised, his response was "Sure tell the secretary. Good man yerself."

Neither of these was a major incident, but the attitude of the two individuals was obnoxious and confrontational, and it doesn't surprise me in the least that there's hassle at flancare, if this is how your stewards operate. I've lost a lot of respect for longford in the last few months, I really have.

You do know that when away fans "confront" a steward at FP, we think it's a trivial matter, but Longford see it as trouble. Your fans are heading for a ban at FP, it looks like.
