Grattan Miles better than Castleview. Poor mistakes from Castleview especially for 2nd goal. Coachford next week for them if im correct. Could be looking towards the wrong end of the table soon. Teams will drop points alot more this year which should make for some great viewing

Hard 1 to digest I must say we were very poor today and on that point the credit has to go to Grattan because they hounded us wouldn't let us play football if im been honest it was Men against boys today people keep on about Grattan been old but experience accounts for alot aswell and they showed it today if we play like today we will unfortunately be a cup team this season and we won't be challenging either for the league on today's performance again we'll done to Grattan well deserved victory.

Made my way down to watch the game today. Donoughmore front 3 didn't give Village defence a sniff on the ball. Pressed really well together as a team, Village didn't do that. I was impressed with Donoughmore work rate they had four attempts first half and three great strikes found the net. Some of the Village defending was poor and their CM looked lost, Donoughmore on the other hand played some excellent one touch football in the first half. Village did have two cleared off the line first half and another two second half luck wasnt on their side but you had to put away your chances. Village made 3 chances at half time even one being the Goalkeeper and seemed a lot more solid second half was too little too late. They got a late goal but Donoughmore defended really well. One team sees to play as a team the other seems to have too many individuals and could be a really long season for them if they don't fix the holes in the middle of the park. Donoughmore well worth the victory after a impressive start. Good side I was impressed with them

Some strange calls from the village management today, changing to the first choice keeper at half time and taking off Hennessy when chasing a goal when he was looking their brightest. Donoughmore played excellent and could do very well over the year, look strong all over.

Donoughmore look like they’ll be the only ones capable of upsetting the top two while still being a step below Coachford. Cathedral be under pressure to avoid 2 relegations on the bounce.

Lads I watched the View game the referee bottled a few decisions both teams should have ended with 9 players and at 2-1 Danny was through and scored he was miles onside and was blown off. Different game if that was correctly given and why Danny is playing up top is beyond me he’s definitely not a striker and offers more in behind but Colin and Nagle obviously saw something to play him there. Hats off to Grattan they picked Castleview apart but they are definitely not miles better the luck was with them on the day, grattan back in the race now they needed that win. The pressure is on the View next week against Coachford they need a result or it’s curtains for them

But but but…. All the talk about castleview and village being contenders not a great start for them shows just how much some people in this know about soccer Coachford flying it and will be hard to compete against let’s face it

I think Castleview put ye through enough misery last season give it a rest. You should meet in the cup pending you beat the shipping league team and Castleview beat Roverstown
