Enjoyable game. Had everything. Goals, own goal, post hit, sending off, peno. Crowd seemed to be up on recent home games as well. Ronan Teahan outstanding for me. Best I've seen him play. 2 points ahead of Longford now and only 3 behind Treaty.
2-1 win for Kerry. A first league win over a Munster rival. UCD away and Longford at home coming up before the mid season break and MSC final. A draw and a win would do nicely before the break.

Agree on Teahan - definitely his best performance to date, strong on the ball and chased everything. Hopefully he can build on this. We have outplayed Treaty in all 3 league games this season, finally got the win which was well deserved (could easily have been 4 or 5).
We are looking a much better attaching team in the last 3 games which augurs well for 2nd half of the season.
Attendance was 470, it looked bigger. Always hard to gauge what a good crowd is on a bank holiday Monday though as well as second home game in 10 days . Hopefully it picks up again as the summer goes on. Overall though 10 home games into the season, an average of around 650 is reasonable for second season. Continuing to build the club from ground up is key.
Any thoughts on maybe playing a bank holiday Monday fixture in Killarney (assume a pitch passes standards etc.). It is a club for the county after all.??
