Many thanks to Kevin for all he did for Ireland and if there is one player that deserves an international testimonial then it is Kevin. Kevin always turned up and put in the effort and the repect that he showed to the Irish jersey was second to none.
Mad after all those steady, injury free, ever present years, a debilitating back injury could force an early retirement. Maybe playing continuously took it's toll or maybe it's just a quirk of fate. Either way I'd support a call for a testimonial and would love to see him go on and complete his coaching badges. Seems tailor made to stay in football. Though I wouldn't rule him out of forcing his way back to fitness and club football yet.
Ou-est le Centre George Pompidou?
He'd get a few punditry offers if he did officially retire I reckon, already done a turn or two for RTE.
Reckon he's too much of a gentleman to become a manager.
Always look on the bright side of life
KK will have plenty of options available in future, whether it be coaching or punditry. The issue for him now is his football career and his ability to play any more, it sounds as if he is going to make a serious effort to get fit again.
Where the hell did he get that jacket for Premier Soccer Saturday tonight???![]()
Will Kevin be travelling to Poland in some capacity with the squad?
I hope so anyway
Waaaay off topic but just out of curiosity...
Anyone know the pundit line-ups for RTE, BBC and ITV? Just wondering specifically if BBC will get a token ex-Irish international in and who it might be (McCarthy maybe?). Assume ITV will trot Townsend/Keane (that could be interesting) out for Irish games...
Read today Redknapp has taken his second choice summer job.
Ou-est le Centre George Pompidou?
Niall Quinn might be up for a bit of summer work.
At least McCarthy might actually know something about the players. Anyone else will just do no research whatsoever, yap on a bit about Keane, Given, Dunne & Duff being great servants and Trap being a wily old fox and spout rubbish about how we never give up and have great team spirit, will just enjoy the experience, drink the town dry and then accept the pay cheque.
The BBC audience are probably not ready for Kenny's eyebrow rhythms.
Mccarthy is with BBC for the Euros i believe, if thats where he was last on the panel(it was some 1st division game i saw him on west ham away against barsnley i think), as it mentioned he would be with them during the Euros.
Stutts, that observation might not be too far from the truth.
I'm a bloke,I'm an ocker
And I really love your knockers,I'm a labourer by day,

Keane was interviewed on OTB last night and said he would be with itv for the euros.
