    Any decent internet coverage ?????

I'm in the states and home looking after the baby tomorrow. Any chance of RTE internet commentary ????? Any suggestions welcome.

Was at "the" Holland match when we knocked them out and must say it was not that enjoyable. Was too much of an emotional wreck by the end to actually enjoy the bloody thing.

    Anyway, C'mon Ireland.

    If you have broadband:

    Download PPlive.
    Install it.
    Click this link:
    pplive://pp1.pplive.com:8000/tracker...live.com:8000;

PPlive should start buffering. After a while Windows Media player will open. The picture will be brutal at the start but after about 5mins it should get better. Eventually you'll get a stable good quality stream. Its a P2P program so the more people watching the stream the better. There should be a lot watching this match.

You'll have to get on early, if not you wont get in.
"Jacques Santini...will be greeted in every dugout of the country by "one-nil, one-nil" - Clive Tyldsley, 89th minute of France-England June 13, 2004.
"Ooooohhhh Nooooooo" Bobby Robson 91st minute.

That link works for me. Make sure you have PPlive installed. Once you have that installed, click the link. Nothing will come up on the internet page obviously but PPlive will start buffering in the bottom right corner of your screen.

Well I got it to work, seems very slow, either my computer or connection
not up to it I think, my connection is only about 300 kbs and my computer
is due to be upgraded as its no longer up to the job.
Good news is that an Aussie bar in Nottingham will be showing the match
(Walkabout, Friar Lane). Thank God the Aussies love their sports, hope they
    keep the Ashes!!

Well I am just thankful they will be showing it, its an Aussie 'sports'
bar, big TV screens showing sports all over the place + they will have
a couple of big projection screens too so. It's modern and well laid out
with easy to see large flat screens, ideal place to watch, staff are real
good too, a lot of them Aussie and some will have Irish links I expect.
Just hope we get a result now.

Does anyone know the minimum requirements for that link?
    500kbs?
Just wondering if its my computers speed or the connection speed which is the
    bottleneck (or both probably).

the quality is fantastic (given that its live tv over the internet). I'm so happy I'm going to get to see the game.

EDIT: BTW I'm also able to listen to RTE Radio in Real Player, so I can get the commentary from them. I don't know how much of a delay there will be, but the alternative is in Chinese!

Sometimes it takes a good 5 mins for the it too properly buffer. Until then the pic will pause and start and will not keep up with the commentary but eventually it will buffer properly. I've looked at loads of premership games using it it does sometimes crash and you have to go throught the whole rebuffering process again. If it does crash and you have a problem restarting it you will have to go into the taskmanager and cancel the old process manually before you can restart it. It will be called obviously enough "pplive" in the task list.
The speed is usually around 300Kbps so it might run a bit slower if you have anything less than a 516Kbps connection.
As stated earlier it's P2P software so the more people who use it the quicker it will run.

    COME ON IRELAND!!!

Ivory Coast v Cameroon has just kicked off on that link.

Is that definitely the channel to watch for our game?
My other posts are intelligent and witty. This one is an exception.
