Drogheda has similar case in 2004 with Glenn Lacey. If I remember correctly (it was 20 years ago so a bit vague), FAI sent out list of suspensions to clubs that week. Lacey wasn’t on it. Drogheda played him. The match he played in was over turned with the other team getting the 3 nil win

DAN CONNOR HATES CITY, HE HATES LANGERS
I have sympathy for Bohs. They checked with the FAI. The FAI incorrectly gave them the green light. If the player shouldn't have played, it seems the game will have to be awarded to Shamrock Rovers on a 3-0 scoreline.
Kerry need to be able to plan accordingly in their pursuit of a David versus Goliath improbable giant killing.
Don't bother feeling sorry for bohs as
A) it's their responsibility
B) the FAI will give as much thought to Rivers appeal as they will to sligos complaint about Hennessy
From what I’m hearing we’re out.
Kerry tickets v Bohs on sale today to season ticket holders.
When they start selling away tickets we will know how the appeal is going
Actually surprising the cute Kerrymen havent already sold them to the Bohs fans and then sell them to Rovers if Rovers win the appeal
That would be selling the same thing twice which would never happn in LoI!
Some GLITW things are too great to ever let drop....
I understand the rivalry hence the hatred and pettiness but I really think on this one, Bohs are being shafted. It was their responsibility so they checked with the one agency which should have provided the correct information - it looks like they got wrong information. Does every club that asks the FAI for guidance/rulings automatically cross-check with another agency to see if the info provided is correct? The longer this strings out shows who the real blame lies with. Again.
Tickets on sale for Bohs fans tomorrow night. I'm guessing that's the end of the matter now.
How many tickets are Bohs getting?
If it was based purely on away entitlements, they'd only get 120 tickets.
Even if Rovers lost the case tonight, could Kerry really put tickets on sale immediately? Surely time needs to be allowed for Rovers to consider taking their case to arbitration? Normally clubs have 4 days to consider, unless Rovers have given an in taking not to do so.
Sure they can always refund people
