There is more to it then the local FAI rulebook or Rovers wouldnt have gone this far
To be honest with Paok next week and the second leg the week after a free weakned is a good thing so hopefully Kerry win and Rovers win when we take it to FIFA and the FAI finally learn to treat the clubs with respect.
    Kerry for the cup

Maybe we might end up with appeals committees that actually consider the facts before agreeing the outcome and we even get a few riddiculous red cards overturned.

    Ballyfermot United v Wexford
    Cork City v Derry City
    Drogheda United v Wilton United
    Shelbourne v Galway United
    Treaty United v Pike Rovers
    Kerry v Bohemians
    Sligo Rovers v UCD
    Waterford v Athlone Town

Wins for Derry and Shels would be welcome from a 4th place Eujropean qualification perspective and an upset or two from KErry, Athlone or UCD would help.
Wexford have had a handy two rounds with Wayside Celtic and now Ballyfermot and should find themselves in the quarter final playing Treaty or Pike Rovers. Classic FAI cup

Are Kerry the only club in the FAI Cup who cannot qualify for Europe based on the three year rule?

Oops! I actually thought the rule was 5 years for some reason.

If it was turned around and Bohs were in rovers position I'd tell them to give it up....talk about a technicality of the flimsiest degree...this is Ollie Byrne God rest him territory. Oh they've got the right yeah yeah...just take your beating ffs and stop trying to f up the competition with your last minute appeals

Don't bring that up again. St Pats are probably preparing their objection already even though we have been Waterford FC since 2017!

I've got a sneaking suspicion that cork will get one over on derry tonight.
I'd imagine witnessing the shels Vs galway tonight would be akin to watching someone else watching paint dry!

There's time yet for some legal wranglings on ownership and a quick change back to United before people go hunting compensation and liquidation of assets to cover. I dont think it will happen but hey.....Bohs could be relegated and Derry might decide to win the league,, its LoI after all!

From what I have seen the arrangement for FAI Cup gate receipts are that the home team gets 65% and the away team get 35% .
The home team pay all the expenses out of their 65% including any extra security needed for the fixture.
Both the FAI and the visiting team are legally entitled to check receipts relating to the game to verify the income and expenditure

In the Semi-Final it's 60/40 again with the home side paying all the expenses.

For the final it's split 3 ways with the remaining 1% going to a charity nominated by the FAI.

Is that why clubs ticket pricing has increased, mainly €10 for a child instead of the €5 for league fixtures.

Some fans have been complaining about this unfair increase!

    Anyone!

I remember one ex Rovers Director telling me back in the 90s some teams would have volunteers with clickers on each turnstile counting the people coming in to check back to the reciepts

The FAI should just amend it from next season than any suspension carried over from a cup competition in another jurisdiction is automatically applied to the newly registered player's next domestic LOI league fixture only, trying to update wording to a rule to measure cup competition levels around a multitude of Papa John's Trophy type cup competitions across 200+ global football associations is not even up for discussion
The Leinster Senior League needs a strong Bohemians

Very entertaining game at Turners Cross. We've had one ruled out for offside and had one brilliantly cleared off the line just before half time. Have the feeling that Derry will come out differently in the second half, but we've done well so far.

Looks like a very poor crowd at Tolka, I suppose season tickets not been valid, Man Utd playing same time and the league been the priority for Shelbourne are reasons for it.
A penalty call for Galway not given just before half-time.

It was and it lasted well past the 90's. I remember Bohs playing either a first division or non league team in the early rounds of the cup during the recession and they had people with clickers at the turnstiles.
