FAI's figure of "sold-out" must be 40,000 for the Aviva!

Was sold out though, just a good few no shows on the day, probably FAI freebies.

Do you expect the FAI to stand over people and force them to buy a ticket?

What have they done to meet their own goals? Increase ticket prices?

Yeah, I'm sure that stopping ticket sales and declaring a game sold out is a very cost effective way of clearing millions worth of debt.

would help with ticket sales if some decent neutral tickets were currently on sale.
i want to attend, not supporting either team but no decent neutral tickets on sale. only seems to be handful of neutral seats at all on ticketmaster. it cant be because its almost sold out.
i bet i am not alone on this

Well we have all heard or seen the FAI's record on accountability over the years!

The promotion for the cup final has never been better. Can more be done? Yes, but that is natural. Everything can be done better and we should always recognise the need for progress. Some people just find it difficult to acknowledge that some things are being done a little better than before.

Agree. Walk before you can run. Promotion of the league is getting better, and promotion of the cup final has never been better.

Seeing fairly regular advertising of both now, which we'd not have seen even as little as 5 or 10 years ago.

I've genuinely not seen or heard any advertisements outside of social media. Only really listen to today fm and don't buy newspapers but that's good to hear

Nearly 4,000 of that were seat kills.

Same happened in 2021. More tickets were “sold” than the attendance on the day. I remember being slightly surprised that it was under 40k based on all the numbers announced in the run up to the final.

Saying over 35000 tickets sold now. Again, I’ll be surprised if the attendance on the day is more than 2021.
