12 Enforcement of disciplinary sanctions
1.
Any disciplinary sanction of up to four matches or up to three months that has been
imposed on a player by the former association but not yet (entirely) served by the time
of the transfer shall be enforced by the new association at which the player has been
registered in order for the sanction to be served at domestic level. When issuing the ITC,
the former association shall notify the new association via TMS of any such disciplinary
sanction that has yet to be (entirely) served.
2.
Any disciplinary sanction of more than four matches or more than three months that
has not yet been (entirely) served by a player shall be enforced by the new association
that has registered the player only if the FIFA Disciplinary Committee has extended
the disciplinary sanction to have worldwide effect. Additionally, when issuing the ITC,
the former association shall notify the new association via TMS of any such pending
disciplinary sanction.
Nah its obviously either 3 months or 4 matches , so either time or number of mathces. Neither is related to the other.
For example when Cantona was banned for 9 months (i think) they didnt say 9 months or 30 matches.
Devoy had a ban which he hadnt served, hence the appeal.
It would be embarressing for the FAI to have cleared him in the wrong so will they pull back???
be interestig but the FAI have a history of bending the rules to prevent embarressing themselves
"Rovers asked me 'Can we be the 17th team in the FAI Cup 3rd round?'. They did. They asked me this."
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.
16th![]()
Kerry were away to Cork last night. Disappointing and sloppy goals conceded. Kerry are away to second placed Athlone next. Good tests ahead of the third round.
Athone also signed Alex "Timmy" Byrne. Former Galway Utd centre half/ centre mid. Decent First Division player. He was out in Canada the past few years. I'd love it if they got promoted! I think Kerry will struggle against them next week
Sunday 18th of August at 4pm confirmed for Kerry v Bohs - would have imagined the home side would have preferred a Friday night KO, but at least they can get the preparations underway.
This is a mandatory FIFA reg which all associations must adopt. Adds another dimension to the Bohs/Rovers case.
4. A sending-off automatically incurs suspension from the subsequent match.
The FIFA judicial bodies may impose additional match suspensions and other
disciplinary measures.
If the fai play fair I think Rovers win this but as we've seen with the sending off appeals this year their appeals system.os a joke
