    Treaty (A)

One could hardly have imagined back in early March when an injury-time penalty was missed to level the previous fixture, that the result would prove to be a turning point in both clubs seasons so far - at that stage, Treaty had a 100% record, and Kerry had yet to pick up a single point from their first three fixtures, yet with the Limerick side recording just two draws since then, and the Kingdom notching eight points, we now have the chance to overtake our neighbours on goals scored with victory in the Munster derby. The usually prolific Enda Curran appears to be somewhat out of form for Treaty this term, but Yoyo Mahdy proved the match-winner in Tralee, and while rather erratic, his double at Ferrycarrig Park highlights the threat he could pose on Friday. Generally, Conor McCarthy has tended to be more tactically conservative in away fixtures, yet with the Amechi-Kelliher-Okwute partnership beginning to gel together, sometimes it's best to leave well enough alone! As for the result, while a win is certainly possible, a share of the spoils would be a good return from what's always a tricky fixture.

Most of the players are hitting top form so a draw at least should be achievable. Confidence now sky high. Won't be easy though. Is an away crowd of 80 to 100 being too optimistic?

You'd hope for something along those lines, when the journey time has come right down over the last few years, and perhaps some of the students in UL and Mary I might come along as well.

It'll be a tough match. Treaty have plenty of league experience within their squad and management. The challenge for Kerry now is to kick on from last week. They are more than capable of beating most teams in the division on their day.
It's a difficult one to stick with a winning team or go a bit conservative away from home. Last week's starting XI have started a few games. Seems to be the strongest XI available. After the game in Trailer a few weeks back, they might lean towards the same starting XI.

Treaty have the worst form in the league. Should be going hell for leather to get first away win of the season. Could finish 1-1.

Kennedy must have picked up an injury, not even in the 20-man squad tonight: Tuta - Spain (C), Williams, O'Connell, Kos, Aladesanusi - Healy, McCarthy, Teahan - Kelliher, Okwute.

Two changes from last week. Kos and Teahan come in. McGrath isn't in a Kerry matchday squad for the first time. Amechi is also out. Similar enough Starting XI to Harps away and Wexford home.

How have we not won that game? Even enough first half, Ryan Kelliher missed a sitter. Kerry dominated the second half creating several clear cut chances. Combination of poor finishing and excellent goalkeeping. Fuming not to be heading down the N21 with 3 points.

Very frustrating, other than the first 20 mins where Treaty exploited us a bit down our right side, we completely dominated from then on. While no doubt some of it was down to excellent goalkeeping, there is no excuse though for how poor some of the finishing was. Lack of composure in front of goals really.

What’s most encouraging though is we are more and more solid at the back with each game - never in the second half did you feel Treaty would score. Our fitness levels are top class - guys look to be getting stronger as the game goes on. Our squad is proving better than I thought given we were missing 4-5 players that would all be in contention for starting places tonight. The managements attitude to go for the win with positive changes in the second half and lastly another game unbeaten - we continue to grow. Oh and not forgetting the best traveling support in the division - well done to you all, could be heard throughout the game on LOITV and what scenes there would have been had we scored in 2nd half!!

The only concern- Daire McCarthy, if he keeps going the way he is playing Galway will be hauling him back in the summer. He looks a player of immense promise who can and should play at a much higher level. Physically strong and imposing, terrific positional sense in the holding role and now getting on the ball more and more and never gives it away.. what a player he could be!!!

Yea should of won . Keeper and bad misses denied us. A great 2nd half performance though and remain unbeaten on this run. Big shout out to the Kerry fans who sang throughout and gave the team a great send off at the end.

There have been a few games now this year where teams are getting a share of the spoils when Kerry should be taking all 3 points. Back to back clean sheets is very encouraging. Need to get more clinical in taking their chances. Playing well enough at the moment to be in the playoffs. Athlone and Bray will be interesting games in the coming weeks.

Very encouraging display again and you have to remember that this is without the likes of Amechi, Mcgrath, Gleeson, Kavanagh (Just returning) and Doila (Near return). To go 8 on the bounce is some achievement, while playing some excellent football. Excellent support and fair play to everyone who came.

Another clean sheet and the backline is night and day compared to last year. You could only imagine that with some work on composure in the box, we will be one of the most progressive teams in the Division.

With more players to come back for next weeks game vs Athlone, there's no reason the lads cannot repeat last weeks first home win followed by a second. A win next week could literally see Kerry FC in 5th spot after 11 games.

    Who would have thought that?

A win over Athlone takes Kerry above them at least. Nearing playoff six pointer territory.
