    What was the result of the statement last nite. Did it have any effect? Did the they get any response yet???

    The Following statement was issued on the PFAI web site.

    The players of Longford Town met last night and requested the PFAI to issue the following statement on their behalf. Today 17th April 2002, the players of Longford Town have informed the eircom league that unless the playoffs are completed in full on or before Wednesday April 24th, they will no longer participate in any matches or training and will consider the 2001/02 season over. The players can no longer cancel holiday arrangements and work commitments indefinitely, while waiting on the league to decide the outstanding issue regarding the play offs.

    Dublin City are disgracefully dragging the whole affair on. The League should tell them where to go with their appeals.
