If it wasnt for the Ollie Byrnes and Pat Devlins, Shels and Bray Wanderers would have gone to the wall ages ago. These two guys have done more for their respective clubs that any two other individuals you could name

To be honest I dont know where the association between this article, the Genesis Reporter and Devlin came from, he's not mentioned in the fanzine.

Does writing spurious articles about indivuduals like Ollie Byrne and Don Givens increase fan numbers at EL clubs, I doubt it!

Thats one view on it. My opinion is that people like this who have, undoubtedly, done great work for their clubs over the years, are now holding the league back, and making it look amateur. The greatest service those two individuals could do for their clubs and the league now is to step aside and
stop holding them back with their unprofessional behaviour. By all means commend them for their good work, but don't allow it to override other concerns.

Since when does being a shels fan mean you are automatically an Ollie fan. Is there no separation?
