I had a bet with a mate there wouldn't be 4000 there. Terrible might weather wise and a school night plus on TV. Probably twenty to 30% of our crowd normally is kids
that’s a disappointing crowd in Tallaght no ???

Dundalk 3 down in half an hour

We have the gale for the second half as well
Pádraig Amond seems to be what Pat's might have hoped Eóin Doyle would have been.
Mental league so far.
We are beyond bang average. Sligo will be looking forward to us coming up next Friday. We need Clarke farrugia or byrne / mcaneff back ASAP. Derry don't look to great either
Rovers have had 3 fairly guilt edged chances,Derry have had a couple too but not as good as Rovers ones….

Jesus Christ, Pats keeper is horrendous. He can’t start another game. Should be hooked at half time. We were poor enough, got ourselves back into it, and then he goes and does that.
Out for a spell, got neglected, lay on the bench unselected.
Shocking first half from Bohs, have offered absolutely nothing
My post somehow deleted but in summary Shels winning another game so far that the opposition have the better of and that's mental for Dundalk being 4-0 down at halftime when they and not Sligo had the night off in Friday
3rd goal in Oriel was great fun, Boyle admiring his tackle and stood there pointing that he got the ball. Sligo picked up the lose ball and put it in the net. Talk about not playing the whistle! 2nd was a keeper blunder, is some mitigation with conditions and view obsecured, am I allowed used the pitch as an excuse too where the ball skidded up late? 1st and 4th caused by the dreaded high defensive line and either lacked pace to get back of were just flatfooted. I have always felt that you cant rely in officiating enough in LoI to play a very high line with the offside trap. Playing with a gale hasnt been of any help, if anything the ball hanging playing in to the wind has had more impact with defence and keeper caught between dropping deeper or keeper coming to claim. At 0-2 in the conditions it wouldnt have been over but with the added blunders it obviously is. If Sligo add any more than 1 second half then O'Donnell is definitely favourite for the sack.
But I had banked on the tradition of not being relegated too recently....
One crazy man has weakened my club!

Has there been a lot of goalkeeping howlers in the last couple of years, or is it just more TV footage showing them up?
Waterford keeper last week. Cork and Bohs shared howlers last year, and the Cork keeper got sent back home. Healy for UCD was prone to a couple. Abibi at Dundalk of course. Even Mannus at Rovers wasn't great in the European games (bit of a higher level I guess)
Probably more too (edit - as Nesta cites a keeper blunder in Oriel) - don't remember anywhere near as many 20 years ago, say.
Dundalk change keeper at half time. This was already like a bad preseason fixture...
1st away win for Sligo since May it seems and will be first league win in 8!? They really were on a bad run that Cork can rue that 6 pointer game v Sligo in Cork last season.
I can! I have openly said that if 8th was called preseason id have been very very tempted! You are picking the wrong Dundalk fan to wind up! I also happen to be the one that suggested that Sligo may be underestimated and are most dangerous when seemingly most quiet. Still if the gauntlet has been thrown down I will thoroughly enjoy the season's jousting!! Sligo havent needed to be very good to beat Dundalk so I wouldnt see it as a major statement. We will be bottom tonight right behind the champions as things stand.
Completely expected tbh. When we keep signing players that are semi.permanantly injured it has to catch up on you. Only hope we have is that the rest of the league are as bad as they were last year.
Derry may just have turned that corner tonight.
