Good win and a super start to the season for Harps. Solid without being anything spectacular. Playing some nice football, and knowing when to play football as well as knowing when the play the long ball and mixing the two very well. Success Edogun having a cracking start to his Harps career.

Kerry spurned a lot of chances and blazed a late penalty over the bar with the last kick of the game. Treaty maintain their 100% start to the season with the 1-0 win.

Kerry hit the crossbar, the post, had one cleared off the line, forced Treaty keeper to rescue them a few times,, free header 6 yards out straight into Keepers hands and then to cap it all off a missed penalty. On another night Kerry could have scored 3 or 4… Great to see Treaty start well and up at the top of the table, long may it continue. Kerry’s fortunes will turn soon - a much improved side physically, technically and much more organised..

An absolute howler by Sargeant tonight, he's usually solid in goals but wow.. that'll haunt him for a long time.
Some say he's still trying to catch the phantom ball.

Ref terrible last night in the showgrounds. Definite handball in the box not given and disallowed this goal.

youd think daly would have taken something from some of the turgid stuff rovers played last year when they were missing their wing backs when changing to 5 at the back. pats dont have enough pace or creativity from anyone that can play there. it lends itself to slow turgid play, which infairness, maybe is what he wants when going away to derry. he'll need to change something soon though against "lesser" opponents. a draw was probably fair. derry wont win anything with their Dundalk 2016 legends setup. higgins gone by august after they crash out of europe

Big three points for Treaty United.

Kerry failing to take chances cost them badly. They should have been reduced to ten for the final 20 after a woeful challenge from Kevin Williams.

Really that disallowed Sligo goal. Galway fans would be a bit surprised at times about the claims made by the Shelbourne manager about his goalkeeper.
"You know what to expect from Galway" John Daly and Keith Long post match quotes, hopefully Duff won't forget to included this in his analysis on Monday.

Sligo looked to have more compared to all 4 games against Shels last season but the combination of being blunt in the final third and Shels being smart defensively decided the points. Coyle really has developed into an outstanding player he was appointed captain for that reason we would not have ground out anywhere the amount of points over the past 2 seasons without him in the middle of park, though it's the one area of the pitch I feel we are missing another physical workhorse body to support Coyle and our backline as we have probably won too many games more than we should have with backs against the wall performances

Coyle has been great for years but that was never noticed while he was at Harps.

Only saw second half of second half, Pats had a few chances ok, but looked like Derry the more likely who would win it.

Any team scoring on 90+3 to win it, its a killer to the ones conceding (happened us v Pats in Oriel Park end of 2022, but we still finished ahead of them and made europe, even taking into account the 3 free Sligo points), but it always shows who has the most desire to win the game scoring so late, as you keep going.

    Tough one all the same.

Saw the disallowed goal for Sligo, it was neither offside nor was it a bad challenge, should have stood. That said in 8 times out of 10, any attacking player jumping to same height and close to the GK, even with his hands down, the ref will nearly always side with the GK.

I would say all fans on here will experience this against their team this or last season, the refs (wrongly) are obv being instructed to rule on GK side, now if the attacker 'blarges' into the GK, different story, auto free out.

Id say it’s more like 99 out of 100 then 8 out of 10. Was very surprised when it looked like he was giving it initially.

Yeah, ye probably did deserve a point.
Brutal first half, really boring. Second half was much more lively. Great finish from Keating after Ben Doherty played him through.
Delighted to come away with the 92nd minute winner, which was a lovely goal. McMullan really changed the game when he came on, and his step over for the goal was class.

Noticed that Pat's played a wee bit like we do. Lots of possession, probably great completed pass stats, but very little end product. You'd think with the likes of Keating up front, they'll get it right eventually though.

Top of the league after 3 games does not matter. It's the end that counts and no doubt they won't stay there . Widely tipped to be down with Kerry which is a fair assesment . Barrett seems to be the type of manager that will get results anyway he can ....great to be abysmal and get 3 points. Players seem to give their all for him and that's all that counts . Kerry a good side and you can see they have improved a lot . A lot of good athletes

    lol.
It's a good start, that's all it is. Anyone from down this way (or anywhere) saying that Treaty are on a title charge are saying it in jest.
