For once, there's a degree of pressure/expectation riding on Friday's game, not arising from the Cork result, which was creditable and to be expected, but because the first home league match of a campaign can set the tone for the season to come. Bray were one of three clubs (along with Galway and Wexford) against whom we didn't acquire a single point last term, but with UCD defeating them rather more comfortably at home than the scoreline would suggest, and disaffection among their support base, the mood is rather unsettled among the Seagulls. Of course, recent injuries have disrupted Kerry's own preparations, but as long as the aerial threat of Cole Omorehiomwan is addressed from set-pieces, then perhaps we can chalk up a home win to cheer the loyal supporters.

3rd to 9th from last year is where Kerry need to be picking up wins, and definitely at home in MH Park. Beat Athlone last year. Should have beaten Cobh and Wexford. That's three of the playoff teams from last year.

Frustrating night in the end. As good as we have played in the first 45, should have gone in at least 2 up at the half. We are a much more physical side now with players having a proper offseason of S&C as well as 30+ games under their belt at this level. Sending off was harsh to say the least. For all Brays possession in second half they rarely got in behind our full backs and never looked like scoring from play so to concede from 2 set pieces and a hoof into the box is really disappointing.

Small attendance for first home game of the year, but assume the weather was a huge factor. Stand was sold out but had probably 150 or some empty seats so many season ticket holders / sponsors stayed away due to the elements.

hopefully we can take the positives from this game and not the disappointment of losing the lead twice at home to move forward and get that elusive home win quickly.

Great performance last night, but awful result and awful sending off.New signings have really brought things on but unfortunately goalkeeping issues and set piece issues still remain. Poor crowd but understandable with the weather. Hopefully a good turn out against the table toppers next Friday.

Awful result. Awful defending from set pieces again. Same failings as last year. Great performance as well. One step forward, two steps backwards.

I tuned in on LOITV just as the Galway game finished, which was just after the first equalizer. Was a bizarre 5 minute spell even by LOI standards.

Looked an awful evening for football but the coverage and atmosphere looked good. Hopefully there's points to come sooner rather than later.

McCarthy impressed a lot for his first start. A good physical force in midfield. The error aside from Tutta, I think he still looks a decent keeper, seems comfortable on the ball and more of a presence too. We are better with KW at right back, sometimes his touch lets him down, but I think with more games at that position that will change. Overall I think we are much more solid back 4 with Spain and KW at right back as well as Kavangh to come back into the fold, but 5 minutes of madness against Bray is hard to comprehend given how solid we looked otherwise.
