Umeh on the bench for Palace against Everton right now
Its really not that complicated!!!
Alan Nixon reporting that Blackburn have interest in taking Umeh on loan next season.
Looks like the Blackburn loan isn't going ahead now with Crystal Palace having decided that he's good enough to be part of their first team squad in the Premier League this season. Will be interesting to see how much he features, Palace usually run a thin enough squad focusing on quality over quantity, so he might see some game time.
Well Alan Nixon is the one who reported it and said they see him as back up to Mitchell so yeah would seem like they think he can adapt to WB. They also play 3-4-3 so play with WBs and wingers. So probably worth his while staying around for six months at least to see how things go.
This is very exciting to hear! Glasner has been a revelation at Palace so far. They were one of the best teams in the league once he came in. Franco getting game time of any variety would be amazing. He's still eligible for the next U21 campaign too.
Still waiting for Jaden to get his move somewhere in this window now too. He's arguably even more exciting of the two!
Yeah, sounds like they're looking at turning him into a right wing back.
Mitchell plays on the left so would be LWB. Though Nathaniel Clyne is their back up RWB and he played CB at times under the new manager. So might see Umeh covering both sides this season if true.
A penny for Adaramola"s thoughts as he's been loaned out to Stockport County and Umeh likely to be Mitchell's back up in a position Tayo naturally plays.

Surprised by the positional change. Fair play to him. He has improved so much since signing for Palace but it was all attacking stuff, taking on players 1v1 in the final third, finishing etc etc. never thought he’d be anything other than an attacking player (most comfortable on the wing but capable of playing up top). He’s obvious made a whole other set of improvements over the last few months to make him capable of playing there…
All ultimately goes back to our talk about the decisions players make with their careers about where they go and when they go - Zefi was a mile ahead of him at u17 level and look at them now…
He can afford to spend a year as back up.likeky getting very small amounts of mins but Been.in all week with the first team but Tayo needs to be playing games after what seemed a good half season in top flight Belgium football last season so needs this loan to hopefully play a full season. Rak sakyi had a season in league 1 at a similiar age to Tayo and it looks like he will get good move this summer
His brother Jaden is after leaving cork city for benfica.
Seems to be doing well in pre-season. A positive development.
