We can't even use Freshers week to promote it as the game is on the week before freshers week (methinketh).
Can an agreement not be reached with Derry about it at all?

It would be too messy. We've already been conned out of money from one league cup final so I'd say Derry would be against it. I'm not saying UCD would do anything dodgy but we learned a lesson in 2002.

With the Cascarino end well and truely closed Belfield can only hold about 1,500. I don't think we need to hand out free tickets. I'd be surprised if the crowd was less than 1,000 so the place will be fairly jammers anyway.

I think we'd have enough room to allow freebies (odds are 100/200 would be the absolute max that would bother using freebies). That is if we were allowed to issue freebies.

Also John we're making two assumptions about the crowd.

    (1) That Derry will bring about 500, reasonable bet as it's a cup final but it's still a weeknight.
    (2) We'll bring 500 fans, plus neutral dubs. Yes our regular HOME home crowd is 300-400 but with it being a weeknight it's not a dead cert to be maintained or grow unless we promote it heavily in the LOCALITY. As you and I and anyone involved on our end in Belfield know 1 poster in Mt Merrion will probably generate more interest than 100 in Belfield. Will the club bother plastering the area?

Official capacity for UEFA Licencing is 1900, apparently.
