Cobh Ramblers (H - Munster Senior Cup)

Kerry FC will look to book a place in the semi final of the Munster Senior Cup on Monday, February 5th when they face Cobh Ramblers. Kick-off in Mounthawk Park is at 2pm.

Kerry v Cobh was historic last February. Kerry v Cobh can be historic this February, if Kerry can cause a cup upset and make the semi-finals. I'd expect a similar line-up to the previous round. A cup run will be a great start to the season in hunt of the club's first silverware.

Last August was a disappointing result. Kelliher had Kerry 2 goals up with half an hour to go. Cobh struck back with two goals to take a point. Kerry missed a great late chance to win it. Hopefully better luck this February Bank Holiday weekend.

Really looking forward to this one!! Hope to see the two new lads come in at some point and hope that Amechi is given at least 45 minutes!

I’m going for a bold 2-1 win to Kerry FC, get that home feeling win again for the team.

Starting XI: Tuta - Aladesanusi, Williams, Kavanagh, Spain (C) - Healy, Teahan, McGrath, Gleeson - Okwute, Udeze. As said in the main forum, no sign of Kelliher in the match-day squad, so he must have picked up a knock in training, and seems harsh to drop Axworthy, when he's done perfectly fine since signing.

A fantastic result! I know it's only preseason but the Munster Senior Cup is important for Kerry. An opportunity for a cup run and to challenge for silverware.
Two 1 nil wins on the way to the semi-finals is fine. Strikers other than Kelliher scoring and keeping clean sheets.
From anyone at the game, was the defence strong? Have they bulked up a bit in the gym over the winter? The words from coaching staff suggests they know what they had to address there.
