Not the highest profile Irish player or anywhere close, particularly as he is yet another centre back, but O'Riordan has had a quietly successful loan for the first half of the season at League 1 Doncaster Rovers. He has now been recalled by Blackburn, his parent club, with a view to being in and around their first team in the second half of the season.
