Slavia Prague, Cork City’s opponents in the first round proper of the Uefa Cup, remain in the bottom six of the Czech top flight after their second defeat in four league games last weekend.

Slavia finished as runners-up to city rivals Sparta last season to book their spot in European competition.

However, they have 10 teams above them in the latest standings of the Gambrinus Liga after a 4-3 defeat at the hands of Sigma Olomouc last weekend.

Slavia, who also lost to Teplice in Week 2, while their only victory was a hard-fought 3-2 win over Jablonec.
