    Lawrie Sanchez

Seen last night that he sent Mulryne and Whitley home for breach of a curfew. Aaron Hughes is in retirement while hes in charge. What do the Northern fans make of Sanchez. Are they behind him

Comme ce, comme ca. Some are, some aren't.

Personally, I thought he had done a pretty good job and it was not his fault the players would not play (as such) on the night, and the IFA being arses as usual.

However, when the players start to get fed up etc, that would suggest things are not well in the camp.

I would reserve judgement until after the Azer game, or even the England one. I can't see many managers doing a much better job after he goes anyway. For the last God knows how many years, people have not been able to turn things around well.

Like I say, wait for a few weeks yet and see the score (literally ) and then decide. As for me, I am for him.

He's an ex-Sligo Rovers manager, of course you have to be for him
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.

Its George McCartney who has "retired".

Hes now out injured for 4 months anyway, so wouldn't have been available for selection anyway.

Sanchez can only work with the talent he has at his disposal, and at the moment that ain't great.

Hes a good guy and manager. Look what he did at Wycombe in the Cup. He hasnt the best of talent to work with. I think he deserves a break

I wonder what all the Northern Irish fans who doubted him have to say now?

a night to be proud of "for all" i would think "except the english"

the atmosphere in the stadium was imense last night, you could have cut it with a knife . the kop stand "were i sit" was bouncing from start to finish & the usually subdued north stand was up for it from the 1st whistle also .

what a night & what a result !! take that ENGLAND "arrogant tw*ts"

the bbc site says:"The moment their boys in green stunned one of world football's superpowers with one of the most amazing results ever achieved in World Cup qualifiers."

Yes it was a great result & all that (& we are ALL delighted for you ) but, how can they describe England as a 'world superpower'????? When is the last time they won anything? (nearly 40 years!) when is the last time they were in with a chance of winning anything? (I don't know, perhaps 1990, i think they got to the semis). They are not a world superpower, they haven't been in a LONG time
