I've lived in various countries - most of which you take it seriously when the police tell you to do something. But not with AGS. They don't even look the part IMO, and I think those new uniforms have made them look even less credible tbh. The vast majority of Gards are fairly small build/stature and cut diminutive figures. No wonder people don't take them seriously. If a Garda asks you to do something that you don't want to, you can just laugh at them and give them a bit of lip back knowing nothing will be done about it. Try doing that in London, north of the border etc.
