Anyone know why the comer stand wasn’t built to extend the full length of the pitch? I always thought that was odd.

Money was probably the reason. It took years to finish, the inside was just a shell for a long time.

Just the Euro effect. (Plus a who's who of the relatives of the players of course)

Galway Utd v Shelbourne attendance was 3,072. It's strange that it's a couple of hundred less than our game on Monday evening but it's still a good crowd.

A bit of a hit from Culture night and Monday night had a lot of university students who have gone home for the weekend by Friday night

I agree that the absence of 3rd level students could be a factor in the attendance at Terryland last night, (I wasn't there last night so that is a guess). But their was a good number of county gaa jerseys/tops in evidence on Monday from non league of Ireland areas. Are UCD missing out on this segment of their potential market by not playing their games on say Monday nights?

Thats what I thought when seeing the crowd. Im sure there was a curious few to see youth European level too, the cameraman was definitely a UCD fan!

Only a small part of it - Duff is a big attraction as well.
Culture Night would have taken numbers off the gate, and the student numbers were down as well compared to Monday. Shels brought about twice as many as Rovers so that helped the number tip over 3,000

From watching plenty of GAA club championship games on clubber and attending a good few club games in Louth, their hasn't been more than 2 or 300 at any of them.
Take the 6 Dundalk GAA clubs I doubt they had much more than a 1000 combined at their games over the space of a weekend (was at one last night myself and their wasn't 100 at it

Careful now Nige, the CCFC crew will be all over all the 'city' not used, its as if they have invented the franchise for Ireland for that term, and only they can use, and Derry don't seem to use.
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), only Irish club to win a game / points in Europa League Group Stage (2016).
