Just like to say well done for a fine win. No complaints from down here. The best team won on the night. The support was fantastic. Hopefully the stay at homes might be inspired to get up off their arses and support their local teams. The Derry fans deserve tremendous credit tonight. If it comes down to Cork v Derry so be it. What a game it would be. None of this Dublin crap. I can tell you this if Derry were handed the trophy at Turners Cross the Cork fans would applaud. We respect proper people who follow their team with passion. Its the people who throw bottles and rocks where kids are we dislike. And weren't Bohs stupid to sack Stephen Kenny? Why was he sacked? Best of luck to him. May the best team win. It's nice though to feel assured whatever happens will be accepted in a sporting way. Best of luck Derry City but i hope its a gallant second.

Cheers mate, Bohs were reactionary in their sacking of Kenny and we took advantage. Lots of work behind the scenes for years has also lead us back to where we belong.

That match should be shown to every barstooler in the country. The attacking football on display was second to none and I think the graft of our midfield to close down Kearney e.t.c won it for us. (When did Pat Mc Court learn how to tackle? )

There is a mutual respect between the two fans because we both follow our teams with passion and hate Dubs and long may that continue. Looking forward to the run-in.

That was a class message you sent on the Cork site last night. I met a good few people today saying Cork looked bad. Those who dont go to matches of course. The simple fact is as you say Derry dominated and Cork weren't allowed to play well. Anyone who has been watching Cork knows they are capable of better. Kearney was kept quiet. On the back of the Shels and Djurgardens results i think we underestimated Derry. I did personally anyway and Paddy Power has more of my money! Without doubt the top 2 teams in the country and that makes a nice change. Derry are a bloody good team with some great individual talent. The improvement within a year is unbelievable. The City fans sang "Lets all laugh at Shelbourne" last Monday and it wound them up big time. But i think the biggest laugh of all is on Bohs. Stephen Kenny is too much of a gent to make a big deal of it but HA HA HA Bohs. Again great sentiment in your message and best of luck to all of ye for the remainder of the season. See ye in Cork.

I detest Harps and $hels everyone else I am apathetic towards. Couldn't see myself mixing the same way with either of those sets of fans but at the end of the day we are all EL fans and that at least makes me respect travelling supporters.

100% agree !! Never had a problem with Cork fans, always love my 2 night stays down there and have made a few friends into the bargain. I had a good drink with Cork fans Friday night, even Saturday morning and afternoon

What is you describe as "pitiful" or "laughable"? Is it the eighties hard man image of football hatred you aspire to? Should kids come to football matches? And if so should they not learn to play/ support with passion but win or lose with respect to their opponents? I bring my 11 year old son to matches and "the idea of "respect" between rival fans" is something i wish he saw every match but it is not always so. When this involves potential title contenders all the better. I wasnt in Derry myself due to expense, work etc but the people from Cork who travelled have nothing but good to say about the Derry fans and people. And thats ties being made. I would sooner bring my son there than the situation you seem to desire. You should shove your comment up your hole.
