Looking at the opening round of fixtures, while little might be expected from the trip to Turners Cross, the visits of both Bray and Treaty both offer ideal opportunities to register points, as potentially does the trip to Athlone. Cobh at home, along with Finn Harps and UCD away step up the difficulty, but by contrast, Longford and Wexford would again seem fixtures where a draw should be the minimum target.
I see Cork visit on the May Bank Holiday weekend. It'll be an in demand game for tickets.
The opening round visit to Turner's Cross was predictable and has been hinted at. Many Kerry people living in Cork down through the years have gone their to watch Cork City. Kerry have a two match unbeaten league run to maintain!
