I may have said it above, but MAYBE we are better off without him in the long term. we have depended on him far too much, and as a result not worked as a team. Now maybe we can play as a team a bit more.

However, Id far prefer if we had a manager who had the managerial acumen to be able to use such a good player as Ollie properly. But then thats just wishful thinking isnt it?

I feel that ever since Colin Snr did his knee in the year we won the cup, the team has been bery lobsided to the left, and put too much pressure on Ollie. Now that he has gone, we can have some balance, even though it would of course be better if we could have 2 good wingers instead of none. We'll have to see how Mucky comes along.
As I say, we're just young & a bit nieve.

Mucky with a little experience certainly has all the makings of a very useful winger and two good wingers would definitely be better than one.
I agree with GWA that a manager that can actually manage would help, but there aren't too many of them around. Those that are there are Dubs or wouldn't want to come and manage the shambles that is Cork City FC at the moment!

Amazing that everyone was crying for Ollie not to go but now it's better that we don't have him. Strange ain't it??
Whatever it was I am sure it was better than my plan to get out of this by pretending to be mad. I mean, who would have noticed another madman around here?

I'm really sorry to see him go, because he is a great player, but there's no point dwelling on it- he's gone and thats it.

I for my part was being sarcastic, but as Eanna said, there's no point dwelling on Judas, sure didnt he end up hanging himself after he realised he made such a big mistake?

yea thats what i dont get aswell
everyone wanted ollie to stay fair enough..hes the best left winger in the game.. but now people are saying we are better off withput him... and i just cant understand this

ok u lose the best number 7 in the league and..

    (1) you have no replacement lined up for the position, let alone not even one in the same ballpark as ollie

    (2) people say we'll be more balanced now.. yea.. now instead of having no attacking option on the right wing, we'll now have no attacking option on both the right wing but also on the left wing..
which is IMO going to result even moreso in THE HOOF coming back into CCFC soccer

aaaaahh i dont get you people, when i'm hungover like this
    life is random

Strange indeed, I reckon we're all just trying to make ourselves feel better because after all he was our best player and now we are going to have to fork out a whole load of dosh to replace him.

Cork City and "fork out" all in one sentence? I dont think so.

Exactly! Ithink Colm is right, we're probably just trying to make ourselves feel better.
