The big problem with Bray's ground of course is that they can do pretty much nothing to it; there's no room. So that crap tent stand probably has to stay, and I'm not sure what sort of a stand you could put behind the bowling alley end.

Far from ideal in a time when most clubs are seeing big increases in crowds, and capacity issues are starting to hold some clubs back

The Track Bar is right outside the Markets Field and is right beside Fusco's Chipper and Garryowen Stores.

Unfortunately Jerry O'Dea's closed shortly after his passing, but Ant and Dec's is across the road. Walk a bit closer to town and you'll find the Horse and Hound.

Seen on BBC NI News tonight that the Brandywell is going to build a 2nd stand within the next yr to bring the capacity to 7k. Work will start shortly!

Cloondara, if the weather is good, is a nice spot to spend some time before a game in Longford (provided you have a car, 10 minute max and you should be in the ground).

Or Clondra for us locals!! Yeah its a great spot The Richmond Inn is a great pub. Only thing it doenst have is a shop but Tarmonbarry is 1 mile away across the river Shannon.

You can get a degree a stone's throw from UCD's Bowl. It's a 10 minute walk to RTE if you want to seize control of the media and declare a rebellion. It's a 19 minute walk to Vincent's if you are mildly injured in an altercation with Pineapple Stu, whereupon you'll be seen in the next 48-72 hours at their A&E. If watching your team lose to UCD costs you your faith in the sport, it's 23 minutes on foot to Leinster's Donneybrook stadium, or if you prefer to participate then Elm Park Golf Club is just 12 minutes away; they do bridge, snooker, tennis, and art too. UCD's gym and swimming pool are just ten minutes away. If that doesn't appeal and you need to reconnect with nature, you can go birdwatching or trainspotting 32 minutes away at the Booterstown nature reserve, or Merrion Strand is about the same distance if you fancy paddling between the floating turds. Damned if I know where you can stable a horse, though.
