I know we have a fans that are graphic designers that are involved in the programme and online stuff but not sure if anyone designs the jersey. In the past the club would be consulted by Umbro about designs.

Myself mainly on the design side. A small few of us work on the concepts and have input before we take it to O'Neills.

Not a fan of the white sleeves, but that's just personal preference/taste.

Have to say, I liked the stripes on their current red and white one. But them going with a blue kit instead makes sense. They could just have swapped last year's home and away kits around, as the away one is blue already.

Athlone Town going with an all black home, all white away and then the traditional black and blue stripes for their third kit.

Seems like a needless change from the norm.

Valeo are on the front of the shirt too, not sure how much (or how little) influence they have.

That Treaty one is hideous, looks like a fella wearing a white T-shirt under a basketball singlet, not a patch on the striped one they had been using IMO

I think red being such a prevalent colour on the crest just makes it look like an away kit too.

Quite rare in football that is. The only other examples I can think of off the top of my head are Dundalk with a red crest on a white jersey and Hannover 96 with a green crest on a red jersey

Red or Maroon as I posted on another thread accounts for 7 of the 10 clubs main colour on their home jersey in the PD, seems to be a very popular colour brand for our clubs!

Dundalk even had all red a few seasons back as away and pink for this one.

Finn Harps 1995/96 promotion winning kit had an all red crest.

Dundalk had same crest since inception into LOI, the crest was white with dark grey birds** up 90's and changed to red background crest colour from 1997 (checked a book I had handy on DFC kits)

*3 martlets if anyone interested, mythical birds with no feet (mmmm you all needed to know that)

matchwinner have teamed back up with some lower league English and Scottish teams and have rereleased old jerseys and great from this era... They need to do the same with Harps. That was a class jersey

you dont see those goalie gloves that the young fella is sportin anywhere anymore either. They were a staple of the 80's and 90's.
