Pohls useless as usual
Since shams went tits up then reformed and regrouped down in tallaght, they’ve had a grand total of one, one decent goalkeeper. Mannus really missed between the sticks, was a calm influence on his back four.
Honohan should have a goal right at the end, unlucky with the header but I think he might have done better with the second chance ,was fizzed in though…
Irish by birth ,Harps by the grace of god.
On the night and goal wouldn't have flattered us but they were way better and playing within themselves
The first goal Rovers dicked about at the back too much. The square ball from Watts to a player slow to react and SB are in Phols made a good save and Rovers players all slow to react. There's a time to play ball at the back but when you are squeezed that tight it's got to go long, it's not pretty but it has to be done to ease pressure around the box.
Think he means around the grounds
So Bodo 4-0 RFS (and with 88% possession, which is remarkably). Dynamo Kyiv 6-2 Partizan, Fenerbache 5-0 TNS and so on
Feels a bit first roundy
There were positives to take from that game which hasnt been the case in some previus European outings. I agree that a goal wouldnt have flattered, would have been and will be interesting to see how much through the gears SP can go if needed. But in saying that they should be on song until the tie is done and dusted at say 3-0, not taking it handy if thats what they were doing at 0-0 and nearly behind. But it is more like it with intent and having a go that you want to see our CL qualifiers when up against unseeded sides also. Ok there was a soft goal given away trying to play rather then hoof possession away and you do need all 11 on song all game to get anything in these kind of nasty draws, but, probably as a free hit, tactically they were more positive and that imo is where results against unseeded opposition could improve. Maybe Bradley cant do high risk high reward v similar ranked sides but he should have more confidence in his squad to get a job done.
Close to a full house at Tallaght Stadium for this European encounter - with 9,684 present. https://www.rte.ie/sport/soccer/2024...quer-tallaght/
There were definitely some positives from last night: a beautiful pitch and a full house in a well-built stadium, occasional positive forays into the Prague half, particularly from Faruggia, and the ability to hold a much bigger team at bay for stretches of time, even if it required last ditch tackles and saves. The problem Rovers have, that they share in common with any number of previous LOI teams, is that they are guilty of handing goals away in comical fashion while being fairly toothless up front. LOI teams belong in the Conference League, and while Rovers would still be in the Europa after this tie, I foresee a similar overall outcome as this Prague tie. They should be happy with that IF they win the PlayOff.
Thats a mad stat considering the history of Red Star especially. Benefited from Russian exclusion to get in the CL groups but with that record for their league. Lot more games and its a snapshot but how can they be ranked as highly - due to fall over a cliff on their co-efficient?

For the 2nd successive week no information whatsoever about streaming 24 hours before Shels European away tie so expecting bad news again like last week
This is complete tinpot stuff in the year 2024 especially from a larger club like FC Zurich but Shels have not learned a thing from last week they need to be communicating with their fans publicly exerting pressure on the opposition well before it gets to this late stage of zero streaming being arranged
The Leinster Senior League needs a strong Bohemians
It's being streamed to an Irish audience on SolidSport. However, it's also FTA on SRF 2 in Switzerland (which they stream via their website).
Ceije currently drawing 1-1 at home to Slovan. The Slovakians have been down to 10 men since the 30th minute. From following the match online you could see the Slovenians sneaking this one.
