Set up for some final on Friday,it would be pretty unprecedented heartache for Waterford if they lost 3 playoff finals in a row…..

Covidball and games involving UCD are easier to host for a ground that is particularly difficult to divide evenly.

How many do we reckon this game will attract attendance wise?

Bit of a drag for travelling fans. Another poor decision by the FAI. I wonder had Virgin TV a say in this!
I would expect the Waterford fans to travel in large numbers while Cork will struggle to have a sizeable turnout!

I'm happy with Tallaght as a venue. It's the best option available and a change from Richmond Park after the last 2 years of disappointment.
Yesterday's game wasn't the best quality but a tense battle and the better footballing side won in the end.

Tallaght seems ideal, we have decent players that will take advantage of the bigger pitch, and a quality pitch at that too, TC last night made both teams look poor technically wise.

Cobh have had a brilliant season and should be applauded for same, but I find some of the chatter around Shane Keegan baffling.

They have had a brilliant season, but people carrying on as if he's reinvented the wheel and is absolutely crucial to Cobh's is a tad mad. Keegan's charm alone didn't bring Steacy and Doherty to Cobh, and they've benefitted greatly from the near half dozen boys they got on loan across the season.

I don't know if any clubs would swap their current manager for Keegan.

He's a decent enough manager, and he'll probably end up managing us at some point if he stays on the managerial merry go round long enough, but I wouldn't be going overboard. He's quite media savvy so that probably helps in terms of his reputation.

Tallaght the only logical venue IMO, its not like they would play it in the Aviva. Tallaght is the most modern and best LOI ground, its only 2-2.5 hours drive from Cork. Granted a lot shorted for Waterford, but Cork have brought significant numbers to Harps, Sligo, Derry in the past for early/middle of the season league games. Don't see why they won't bring a sizeable support to such a important game for the club

The FAI Cup final is the only neutral venue game attracting a big crowd. These playoff rounds should return to two legs. A packed house in Waterford and a packed house in Cork being a good promotion for the league.

Which is great if you're driving, or on a supporters bus. But not if you're reliant on public transport, which would make it a much longer journey. Tallaght is on the tram, but it's up to 3 and a half hours to get from Kent to Tallaght using it (via Heuston). 3hrs 15mins if you're lucky. Even longer on the way home, as you'd have to get the bus back to Cork instead. At least Richmond is nearer the train and Busaras.

Richmond would have been much preferable if it was available. I can't imagine we come close to filling either stadium, even with neutrals, but wed fill a higher percentage of Richmond. Also a lot more bars in the vicinity for fans to go to beforehand. I guess its easier to segregate in Tallaght.

Would have preferred a Saturday kick off if possible. Would be easier for both sets of fans to travel in larger numbers, but it is what it is.

Would also be nice if they would actually put tickets on sale!

As a season finale the playoff and the cup final on consecutive days would be pretty cool actually

The playoff final being a curtainraiser to the cup final in Lansdowne Road would be ideal. Genuine chance to sell out the ground too.
