Cork almost scored at the end against Rovers but the ball got stuck in the mud in the goalmouth and the Cork striker didnt pull the trigger as he was expecting the ball to roll.
Havent seen enough of either cobh or Waterford to know who would be better suited but its a serious leveller

Pitch was horrendous. There's zero chance of making that near playable for Saturday, and again for Ireland under-21s against Italy in a couple of weeks.

    Would definitely suit Cobh more.

Theres a very good interview with shane keegan in irish sun today he said that it suits Cobh to be underdog like they have being for majority of season. I had forgotten completely they were bottom last season!
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

Any idea from both Waterford and Cobh clubs on ticket sales for the Play-Off at Turners Cross on Saturday?

According to posts, Cobh had nearly 2,000 for their home leg with Wexford, surely they could expect 1,000 to attend in TC.
As for Waterford they have had great travelling support as was seen last year from their previous play-off games in Limerick against Galway and in Richmond Park against UCD!

So we could be looking at a 2,000+ attendance!

By the by is this game on LOITV?

With Cork City being away tonight, you'd expect, if the weather is half decent, a sizeable enough Cork following to take a nosey at this ahead of the playoff final. You'd have to be disappointed if there's any less than 3,000 at this.

Would like to think there would be 2k minimum at it as you say the winners play Cork so some might take a wander down for a preview. Weather will defo play a big part in it though.

Munster FA posted pictures of the pitch on social media, looks like some transformation of the pitch in a few days. It's been pretty nice down here the last couple of days, storm Ciaran missed us thankfully.

It certainly does looks decent enough for a proper game of ball, hopefully it'll hold up.

Why are First Division clubs against a two legged playoff final?

Enjoyable game, even if the quality isn't great.
Plenty of cynical fouling going on, actually funny to watch.

Yeah, really enjoying watching it. Frantic stuff. Waterford looked a disjointed side last year but looked to have much more individual talent. Not seen much of them this year but results and this performance would say they're really not at the level you'd expect from a full time team. This game is madness, so much has happened just trying to type this out.

    And now a goal :-D

Waterford progress 2-1 after extra time. Winning header from a corner. Cobh had two great chances before that to take the lead in extra time.

Based on that performance and the FAI cup game I’d say Cork will win comfortably
    Drogheda United in this together

Has to be neutral so Turners Cross is out. I’d say SDCC would require a decent fee for Tallaght stadium. I’d say Richmond or Dalymount is the best bet.

Richmond Park has hosted the 2020, 2021 and 2022 promotion relegation playoffs.
