Pochettino? Out of contract by April? Comes from the most Oirish town of all - Murphy (not Uruguay I know but close enough to confuse the FAI).

The standard of sports journalism is shocking
We are getting like the uk. Journalists are actually not allowed make things up and they are doing it willy nilly

The link comes from a thread on ybig.ie, nowhere else. Even the posters in the thread say there's nothing in it
    https://forum.ybig.ie/forum_posts.as...anager#2571435

Makes you wonder how journalists came up with some of the other names linked with the job

and of course we all know Bielsa's Irish (even though he is Argentinian, he's coaching Uruguay so close enough to confuse the FAI)

"I got Canham's mobile number and rang him. It went to his voicemail: 'Hi, it's Marco - whazzaaapppp!' Like the Budweiser ad. I never called him back. I thought: 'I can't be f****** working for that'."

Sounds like they let him down gently with a made up reason for not giving it to him. I'd say he'd be in the job by now had it not been for the public backlash when his name was leaked.

Surprised Neil Warnock hasn't got a mention. Seems to always turn up when the faeces hit the fan and as we are talking about the FAI, could be a candidate!

He is, but he is also now hated by some of the fan base. On the footballing side, he needs to prove that current performances are not an anomaly by taking a job in a major league and doing as well. (On the non-footballing side, that would help put some distance between Keane and his current role too.) If all that happens he HAS to come into the conversation. Never thought he'd be a managerial type, but he's halfway there already...

I think Robbie Keane would be worth the gamble. He is doing a great job at the moment. On the point of some fans hating him, for insisting the FAI honour the contract he signed with; well, he was well within his rights. Kenny was very foolish to discard someone with his experience, and I'm sure he regrets it.
