Look on the bright side, at least we aren't paying someone with the money we don't have.

We could have a phone-in vote to decide the team next time around. Why spend money on a manager when you can make money selecting the team? Of course, it could backfire when Connor McGregor and Michael D Higgins are selected at centre half.

Well we do need to start looking at options other than Nathan Collins.

    A foot.ie selection committee maybe?

OK, maybe by the time of kick-off we still wouldn't have agreed on the keeper, let alone the other 10 players. There'd probably be at least three random underage prospects in the squad for no real reason other than "potential". And then there's the three deaths caused by completely missing Crafty's sarcasm.

Other than that, I don't see any issues. And it'd probably still be better than the Stephen Kenny reign.

See this is our problem. Collins has some caps now, so any random thug who used to lecture at Galway is worth a shot just in case he's the better centre half. I just don't see it.

Collins is 22 now, past it, there's bound to be some 16 year old who's duel qualified and tenuous links who we should be capping instead.
    Its really not that complicated!!!

Could be onto something there, John. Maybe the FAI sets up those phone lines or text ins where it costs €5 per call/text*, you get to select your player at each position. After a campaign or two, there’s enough money in the kitty for Carsley to come on board and hire him the squad orthodontist.

Great content of a Sunday folks.

I think we are on to something. Can always run the starting 11 by ChatGPT just to be sure Higgins shouldn't be playing in centre mid instead of Collins.

I knew some-one who was close to a building contractor where, these three building contractors used to be generally in for the same jobs ~ ~ Anyway the two contractors that didn't get the job were pretty much always told, before the one that did get the job ~ ~ The two that didn't get it, usually gave the other fella the heads up so that he could set his preparations in motion.

I am hoping that this has happened with the Neil Lennon chat !

I know it's wrong on so many levels, but I wouldn't say no for Denis O'Brien to come along and pony up the the extra 200k to get carsley over the line.

If JP can give 32 million to the GAA and it be celebrated I don't see why we should look down our nose at a benefactor
