Am I the only one who thinks this is a good draw? I cannot actually see them being much better than Djurgardens. They are not to be mixed up with Sparta. I have every confidence in City having a decent chance if they are on form.
Say if Cork do go throught to the group stage and are drawn against real crowd pullers like Roma and one of the English teams, where would they play their home matches? As in would there be a bigger venue available in the south to move to like the way Shels moved their games to Lansdowne Rd. The x would hardly be big enough.

I can't think of any acceptable venues in the South or anywhere bigger than the X except Landsdowne with 2 stands closed. Maybe Thomond Park will serve such a purpose once it has been renovated but I think most grounds don't meet UEFA standard.

That's last years. This year they have only played 3 games so far. Won one, drew one, lost one - 8th in the table out of 16. Hardly terrifying but its hard to tell so far.
Seems respectful comment to me. Its clear we are the lowest ranked team Slavia could have got so i've no problem with them saying we are favourable draw for them.
I think the Swedes are arrogant & have higher option of themselves than is warranted as Swedes not done anything in Europe for very long time.
Lads I think this is the best draw we could of got. I would of love to have drawn Everton, but these guys are beatable. I would just love to go over there for the 1st leg.

Im not saying you are useless but same happened to shels last season and you have to accept they are the better side and will probably progress. It wouldnt be good for them to take things too serious and get all worked up and nervous over Cork? If they have any serious ambition they will be delighted with the draw and play 100% to their strengths rather then worry about Cork.
Thats just the way it is. Confidence is one of the reasosn these sides are seeds and expecting to win. Irish teams could do with some of this type of attitude.

for me it sounds like Slavia Prague are having a shaky start to their season.
Played 3, won 1, drew 1 and lost won. Scored 4 goals and conceded 4. Very mediocre at best. Maybe they can turn it around but they are there for the winning IMO.

The way I would see it is that Slavia are RANKED better than them, the two matches will decide which is the better team.

Rovers got slovan liberec in 2003. we lost 2-0 in both legs.mind you liberec had beaten milan the previous season.
prague is a kip-its been ruined by loadsa stag parties and weekends on cheap ****-ups
avoid taxi drivers-if you think here is bad youre in for a surprise in prague

I don't see how the latter point works out. City would have sold the cross out at this stage no matter who they drew. Even if you drew the most high profile team there there would be uproar if you moved it all the way to Dublin, so you'd be stuck playing in the cross anyway.[size=2]Boll*x.

No TV money though - that is where the big bucks is at.
Group stages is where all the money is.
Even so, did anybody see Eurosport and the guy commentating said that Cork City vs Everton would be a special occasion if they were pulled out together.
Cork might get some money from RTE but it wont be a whole pile. If they made it to the group stages and there was a big team Cork could pick up a few million bucks
