Not too bad. There are direct flights from Cork to Prague too. Didn't Rovers play a team from the Czech Rep a few years ago? I know they got beaten, but Cork are a better side now than Rovers were then. The group stages are where the real money is, I reckon Cork can get there.![]()

toughest draw, and least financial return......[/size]
Considering the rest of the teams in their group, it could've been a lot worse.
Only Levski Sofia or that Ukranina team (Metalh... ?) would've been on a par with Slavia, but no where near as good trips-wise. Everton would have been a good glamour draw though.
Second leg at home is a winner - hopefully Cork can do the usual 'surprise' act away and then baton down the hatches at home.
When are the games being played ?
look at the post over yours....i have alreadty pointed out my mistake...they are currently 8th in their domestic leauge......i reckon we av a good chanceOriginally Posted by jorge

Slavia Prague are not the big, mean machine that people are building them up to be. I saw them against Levski Sofia a couple of years back at the Georgi Aspruakov stadium in Sofia and they looked very ordinary especially with all the stars in the squad. I'm optimistic that you lot can get a result out there and with a bit of luck take the tie.
If ye can keep the score down to a margin of -1 with that away goal or even a draw (score draw) than its all to play for at the X. Besides with direct flights to Prague from Cork, I'm sure you can have a further 3 days to rack up another round of unpaid lapdancing bills.![]()
My verdict: too close to call.
Dinamo Bucharest to be exact!Originally Posted by equalyred

Have Boot Disk, will travel
Could of got an easier team but could certainly of got a harder team too. I think if Cork can go over there and manage a draw then they can definetely win the home leg.

Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
Away Thursday 15th, home 29th. Shame it wasn't Everton.Originally Posted by dcfcsteve

very tough draw. cant see cork getting through. with a bit of luck they can keep the tie alive out there, and maybe sneak it at home, but i'd be doubtful
