    What a display by cork!!! Incredible heart and intellegence shown! I couldnt believe what i saw at the start when cork were actually passing and dribbling superbly and completely out playing the swedish side... pat fenlon should have been watching keenly and taking some notes on how to not defend for 90 mins... great stuff!!! Another great night for the league...

    Agree

    Cork showed Fenlons tactics in Europe out tonight. Hope they draw and beat Steaua to take the point home to him.

    Well done to Cork City - and especially to Dayo. The man's been a hero of mine since I was a child in the 1960s and I'm delighted for him.

    Well done Cork. Two years running now an Irish club has reached this stage, thats got to be progress.

    What was so enjoyable was that Cork took the game to them, attack being the best kind of defence and all that. It wasn't the usual 11 men behind the ball damage limitation exercise that Irish clubs in this situation would previously have attempted.

    Pat Fenlon? I hope Brian Kerr was watching and taking notes.

    Great stuff City. Done the country proud against a team that has been top of the pile in Sweden for the last few years...no mean feat.

    Credit is due to Cork. I read a lot of sh%t written in "well-respected" Swedish newspapers about the standard of the Eircom League and this result just stuffs it up their holes!

    Congratulations to Cork., marvellous performance . Great to see an EL team take the game to a supposedly better side for the full 90 minutes and outpass and outplay them. Good luck in the draw later today. Whoever Cork get if they play with the same determination and skill as they did last night they will do tghe EL proud.

    Great quote from Rico after the game;

    "Our inter-departmental choreography was exquisite. I was inebriated by the exuberance of our own verbosity. The central frugal acceleration was trepadatious. One will social intercourse at a period henceforth from the current GMT."
    And on the Seventh Day, God created Kevin Hunt.

    Great result and great performance.
    I was actually proud to watch it on the telly.
    The better team went through.

    Though that Canning fellah was getting on my nerves, he just couldn't believe that an Irish team could be so good and kept making comments like "oh he is capable of playing at a much higher level than the normal standard he is used to"

    What a puke I wished that Dolan would sit on him or eat him to shut him up.

    Seriously, did he actually say that?

    No, but the very fact that you're not sure, show's that it's something similar to what he would say..
