The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

Yeah great, apart from the fact that is starts at 9:30 in the morning. Good luck getting to that if you are travelling from the other side of the country. You wouldn't mind as much, but they even say it is only scheduled for a half day, so it's not as if it couldn't be pushed back to a later start.

It's not an ideal staRting time, but regardless - this type of event is something that our clubs should be breaking their necks to get to. The information to be gleaned should be more than worth the E100 for a night in Jury's - especially the Bord na gCon stuff.

I would hope that every single club will be clambering to send people to this. But I suspect a good 25% odd of our clubs won't be represented (and I'll even punt that at least one of the clubs from within the Pale won't show).

Who's organising this, by the way ? Is it the FAI ?

Welcome to the business world. You have to get up early occasionally.
