The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

Yes 100% sure it is. RTE showed their last home game remember. The home leg might be different because it is on so early
I heard 181k TV viewers for Djungerdens so i think RTE will realise makes commercial sense to show away match as usually get more viewers for those games.
Plus they are in the first round proper not the qualification legs. I reckon they will get a good TV AUDIENCE. Slavia arent in great form. They are 11th as you probably know. Cork might get a draw or even a win out there. A few advertisments on RTE should get maybe even 200,000 - 300,000 viewers.
The away leg is definately live.
Think RTE are waiting for confirmation of kick off time (subject to the floodlight problems) before they commit to the first leg. Don't know who would watch it at 3pm on a Thursday

1st leg so no problems with the floodlights.
Worst case scenario i'd say home leg would start at 4.30 or 5.00 as that way match won't end in darkness even withouit lights. The lights at the cross should be good enough for twlight?

In fairness the standard of EL grounds has to improve. I hope all the bigger EL teams get their grounds sorted so we dont lose home advantage

It's pretty short-sighted to go to the trouble of getting planning permission and installing floodlights that they knew weren't good enough for first round of UEFA Cup.
It's like the FAI don't expect us to do well

Its crazy that floodlights are good enough for U-21 European Chmapionship qualifer against France but not good enough for a club game.
The lights at the cross are one of the better ones in the league (Bramdywell ones look good) as have 4 tall poles as opposed to the crappy 6 pole version at most grounds.
You have to wonder about the point of Uefa licencing if floodlights not included.

Very specific criteria, that's why I'm so surprised we now have a problem.

"For evening matches, the stadium must be equipped with a Floodlighting System complying with the minimum average lux level specified in the relevant UEFA club competitions regulations.
The FAI will issue a FAI Floodlighting Certificate based on verified measurement records from FAI-approved contractors."

It always was included, even the first year ...... the only one in question was Shels because of champs league .... but Lansdowne was fine for them.
The lux value must have gone up, or the dispertion rate changed. Thats huge change ... not just for eL.
